Something else he's been doing is meowing at me a lot.
He has food and water, but still keeps meowing at me, so I don't know what he wants.
We haven't started treats with him yet so he's not asking for treats.
Could this be related?
He's also been chewing on cardboard boxes and things...
Beforehand he had some diarrhea, found in the house, and then they have changed from that to normal consistency.
I'm about to put him in a bathroom with a litterbox because I don't know what else to do, when I called the vet they didn't recommend any other issue besides it being behavioral.
I...
We made it impossible for him to get under our bed and I woke up to find that he has now pooped on our couch. I'm at a loss for words.
Called his vet and they said it's just behavioral issues.
Don't know what to do at this point, we got him neutered to prevent spraying and now he's shitting...
No, my husband is on swing shift and haven't had time to do so.
Just discovered he's been pooping under our bed for a while now, shouldn't he be normal by now?
Never had issues with the litter box before now, same litter now and had done it after it was just cleaned.
He's a sweet cat and...
Update, his poop is now normal and I think it was from a change of cat food. But now he has started pooping on the floor and I'm getting frustrated.
I just cleaned the litterboxes as well and has clean litter and all he needs.
Why is he doing this? We got him fixed to prevent spraying and now...
So I recently had my kitten Jinx (M) neutered, and brought him home Friday.
I also have an older cat, around 8, Nugget (F).
Following threads and info online I found to try and introduce Jinx back into the home by trying to put her scent back on him with a blanket she uses often.
It did not...
I found him as a stray and at his first vest appointment they assumed he was 2 months then, so probably around 6 months now.
I'm not having behavioral issues with him, I'm just afraid he won't be as affectionate after.
I'm taking my kitten ( M ) Jinx to get fixed tomorrow and will have to stay overnight, and pick him up on Friday.
He's an incredibly affectionate cat, he's sleeping on me as I type this. He boops his nose to ours, and headbutts all the time. Super ultra lovey dovey.
He's been this way since...
No, I have an 8 year old cat and Shrimps brother. They both get along and fit into our household.
My older cat and Shrimp do not get along.
Would also suggest reading the last line of my post. :)
All of the humane societies around me seem to be full and I've only lived where I am for a couple months, so I don't know of people to ask around.
I rescued 2 kittens back in November and need to rehome one, her name is Shrimp and she's overly shy/scaredy cat. She is affectionate only towards...
I've recently rescued two kittens in November, presumably 2 months old then and they've had shots, etc.
One male ( Jinx ) and one female ( Shrimp ) litter mates.
Jinx has always been a lovebug and very affectionate, it's taken Shrimp longer and we finally introduced her out of her own room...
Nugget is slowly warming up to Jinx, we will be bringing Shrimp into the rest of the house soon.
Jinx is a big baby cuddle bug for sure.
Shrimp is super sweet when we go see her in her room and purrs, hops, and makes biscuits. She just won't let us pick her up, for a moment then she wants down.
Another Update!
We will be keeping them both, since Shrimp has been separated she's gotten more sweet since we're able to give her attention.
Waiting for her to get more warmed up before being able to roam the house like Jinx.
Jinx keeps running at Nugget and wanting to be friends but she...
So Jinx is now in the house and keeps meowing very loudly, he's sweet and lovey dovey but still kinda scared since he's been back in the house.
Nugget is pissed again, hissing, growling, and meowing at him.
She keeps PURPOSEFULLY going up to him where he's hiding at hissing and growling at...
Update on everything
Something happened and the kittens went berserk, they were acting normal and when I tried to help one calm down my hands paid the price.
They got into the garage and are both there, hiding and refusing to come out no matter what we do.
Then Nugget peed in the house...
We got them another litterbox, and I'm not a dog person for this very reason. I don't like dealing with messes, and never thought this would happen, especially with a cat.
If it continues to occur I don't think I can handle it.
If I wanted messed in my home I would have a dog.
I have BPD so...
