    IBD cat not eating

I joined that group too on Facebook. People there had cats doing the very same thing my cat was doing.

    Lost my precious Pepper

Tonight I sit here crying non-stop. My sweet cat could not handle the IBD any more. We tried everything, so many cat foods, so many treats, baby food. She got skinnier and skinnier, got so weak she couldn't walk. Does IBD cause malabsorption? Out vet felt her belly and said her intestines...

    IBD Flare-Up?

The only treatment is prednisolone and cerenia. She hasn't diagnosed IBD - it would take more testing I guess. From what I've read, it sure sounds like it though. My kitty rarely has good days - I watch her closely.

    IBD Flare-Up?

What is considered a flare-up? My cat is not eating at all so we're having to syringe feed her. She never seems to feel good, so what is a flare up? She takes prednisolone daily, but it hasn't increased her appetite!

    IBD/nausea/no appetite

All of a sudden this week he seems to be nauseated and has no appetite. Vet gave him fluids, cerenia, and did bloodwork (good). He’s sitting in the hunched position despite having cerenia several hours ago. I’ve offered him other foods to tempt him, but he isn’t interested in them either. I’ll...

    RAWZ dry cat food

She won't eat much of anything and I kept running across this Rawz and how cats seem to like it. I am desperate so I thought I would try it. I guess I posted in the wrong section.

    RAWZ dry cat food

I just received the Rawz dry food, and since I am new to this, what do I do with it? So far, my cat is not the least bit interested in it. Do I put a little water in it, or a lot of water? There are no instructions for newbies like me. She has never in her 13 years eaten wet food.

Cat suddenly very picky about food & losing weight

The vet has suggested trying Cerenia My cat quit eating and I could see the weight loss in her. Vet treated her for parasites, no change. She is on Cerenia for nausea because she was throwing up every day. She's on Prednisolone for inflammation.

    Cat can't keep anything down

Ultrasound showed my cats walls in her intestines were thickening. Cerenia did not help. Is there anything that can be done for thickening of the intestinal walls? She has gone from vomiting every day to rarely vomiting since she's been on cerenia. Now she is barely eating - and when she...

    IBD & Constant Vomiting

My kitty is 13 years old. I noticed she was losing weight and not eating much. She would throw up every day, sometimes food, sometimes hairballs, sometimes bile. Nothing would stay down! Took her to the vet who gave her the same 3 shots you mentioned. They did no good after a few days...

    Cat can't keep anything down

How would the pancreas be checked? She had to be sedated to get blood, and they did xrays. Vet says her bloodwork was remarkable. Today she is in the closet asleep. Last night she looked like she could not get comfortable. I'm starting to lose hope.

    Cat can't keep anything down

I have been keeping in touch with my vet. Today I was supposed to start her on Celenia (is that spelled right?) just 1/4 pill. It kind of came all apart trying to separate it in to forths, so we couldn't get it in her. I don't know what's going on. She really acts like she feels bad tonight...

    Cat can't keep anything down

Elevate food? I'll try that. Bloodwork did include thyroid, she said bloodwork was great. Might try a kitten wet food - it's worth a shot.

    Cat can't keep anything down

My 13 year old cat throws up everything she eats! She is losing weight and got to where she would not eat, so she was throwing up brown liquid almost daily. She is not a good patient so vet had to sedate her to run tests, which included bloodwork and xrays. Nothing abnormal, but sent her home...
