Hi! Yes I've taken the two smallest away and popped in an incubator for now, am supplementing with kitten formula, a littleo Clostrum and probiotics (to help with the diarrhea). They seem to take to the miracle nipple teat whilst away from mum but am hoping this isn't a permanent fixture

How to help mumma cat lactate more

Apologies! So I'm top up feeding with kitten milk and probiotics (as a few babies have diarrhea too). I use miracle nipples and syringe feed but they fight me at every turn! 😭 Mumma is really good and attentive, and the babies are constantly suckling....just no milk!

    What to expect after neutering/spaying

Hi all! So we end up changing the body suit to the cone for the female as she just couldn't stand up wearing the body suit at all. We've cut a fluffy sock up and popped it round her neck to help with comfort on her neck sutures. She managed to pull out her stitches in the morning after her spay...

    What to expect after neutering/spaying

Hi all! So the vet ended up doing the neutering for both of them earlier due to finding that the female had mammory hyperplasia anyway and thought best to have them done at the same time (today- picked them up at 4pm) I did try paper pellet litter and integrate them before the surgery but...

    Cat flu

Just to confirm with you all- Herbie has been given the all clear! His sister did start to show signs of an eye ulcer herself (it was over the Xmas period when the vets were closed) but thankfully as we already had the medicine and knew what to look out for, when we managed to get her in, we...

    What to expect after neutering/spaying

Hi! Unfortunately the vets won't do them before they are 5 months old. I have mentioned about doing it earlier because if their different sexes but that's the earliest they gave me unfortunately. Okay I shall have a look into baby onesies for the female (how will she go to the toilet?) I'm...

    Cat flu

Hi all, just wanted to give an update! The vet told us he has made a miraculous recovery and there's no reason his eye shouldn't fully heal! He tested negative for aids and leukemia, but unfortunately tested positive for Chlamydia and Mycoplasma so just awaiting some antibiotics for the both...

    Vaccinations and neutering

Hi all! I need some advice on my kittens (1 male and 1 female). We got them at 8 weeks old and it's been a whirlwind since then (they are now 15 weeks old) . Our kittens have been sick on and off since then, and our male nearly lost his eye due to a nasty virus. He is currently on exocin eye...

    Cat flu

Hi all, I just wanted to let you know I took him to the vets and they said his eye was so bad that we had to go to an eye specialist at a vet hospital an hour away the next day. The specialist said that he is very close to popping the eye but that she's reluctant to do surgery on a kitten so...
