    Blood test - high creatinine?

Ok! He tends to be a ball of nerves when the vet performs tests and stuff, so we want to avoid him being terrified. But I also want to catch it on time, if there is anything to catch!

Cat licking my wife's healing broken wrist

I think it's very sweet! I can tell you that when I was a few weeks pregnant my male cat wouldn't leave my side and would just sleep next to my belly - we found out I was pregnant shortly after. Now I am almost due and he hugs my big belly with both paws and sleeps there.

    Blood test - high creatinine?

I will absolutely ask next time we're there. We're in Singapore actually - I am wondering why the intervals are SO different because 1.6 to 2.4 is such a huge gap. It's interesting to note that in May the value was exactly the same - it didn't go up. BUN value was within norm. The vet...

    Blood test - high creatinine?

Hi all, We took our beloved cat to the vet yesterday for his annual vaccination. Since he is already 2 years old and 6 months he had tested slightly high in creatinine during a routine blood test, I asked for creatinine to be retested. It came up slightly high, at 2.5 (normal range is within...

    Cat and newborn

Hi all! I am expecting my first child in February and as the due date comes closer I want to make sure the transition is as smooth as possible for my cats. They are the centre of our world right now, and somehow this will have to change with a newborn. What are the preparations I should make...

Unusual and questionable kitten and semon behavior

I think he is just very intrigued by the smell, especially if it's a smell that can "linger" for a few hours. If he gets to the point of attacking you, maybe using a scented detergent for your body parts will discourage him! Cats are so particular with smell/taste, one of my cats has a true...

I’m Crying. I’m So Stressed About My New Cat. I Think I’m Failing At Adopting.

I don't have any advice to offer as I don't have experience with neither of the issues your cat has, but I just wanted to say thank you for taking him in, you are a beautiful person!

Help Me Understand If This Food Is Good :) Kit Cat Goat Milk

Ok I contacted them and they (reluctantly) gave me a list of ingredients. They ALL contain fish and salmon, therefore I can't put them on this food, they'll become addicted. I found another one that is plainly 70% chicken and 30% rice, but that 30% rice bothers me!

Help Me Understand If This Food Is Good :) Kit Cat Goat Milk

Hi guys, I recently moved to Singapore with my cats. They're well settled but the youngest (10 month old) is not eating enough wet food. She's fine with dry, but for wet food I have to beg her and she just snubs it most of the times! I tried the usual Fancy Feast but I think the formulation is...

    Which Blood Test?

Sorry, I haven't been clear: all the vet work is done already for moving overseas, the company only accepts payment and bookings once the pets are ready so that has been done. I was talking about precautionary tests, in order to find out if there's something wrong (completely by chance, since...

    Which Blood Test?

Hi all, in a month we'll be moving overseas and we're getting the cats ready for the long flight. We still have a month to go with their usual vet and I was wondering, at their age, what tests should be mandatory for them? They are 13 and 8 months old, and the vet never suggested they do any...

Kitten Seems Healthy, But Has Wet Poops

Sorry I was away and just came back home. The 2-3 options, are they same brand just different flavors? Is he still having runny poop or was that solved? When my youngest had runny poop I gave her boiled chicken, white rice and a bit of pumpkin puree for a few days, mixed with probiotics and a...

Dry Food For Kitten Vs For Adult

Hi, my cats currently eat mostly wet food but I do give them some dry during the day when they're on their own or at night. They're currently on Hill's Science Diet for kittens, but my older just turned 1 and it's time to switch to adult food I think. My other cat is 8 months old. I am thinking...

Various Issues After Spay And Microchip

You don't need to lather up the cat in oil, you use a few drops here and there and comb. If you see the fleas but cannot comb them out then you put a bit more oil on a cotton ball and press slightly where you see the flea. The flea will slow down or stop, and that's when you pinch it or comb it...

Various Issues After Spay And Microchip

I use coconut oil for the fleas too because the hair gets sticky and they slow down and it's easier to catch them, but you have to use it with a good comb as it doesn't work on itself I am afraid. If she is taking antibiotics she might be nauseated and thus eating less but if her behavior...
