He's in a dry and we're food diet. I know it isn't his diet because he never has crystals. They always just tell me when he goes the vet that it's bacterial and the area is inflamed probably from him licking.
My cat has suffered from UTIs for about a year and a half. He has gotten the PU surgery 6 months or so ago. But they wont STOP. Im getting really sick and tired of taking him to the vet and throwing them $80 every 3 months. I already know it isnt his diet because he never has crystals. I am...
I know this thread is 3 years old now. But I'm having the same issue with my car, Stewie. He had the PU surgery about 6 months months ago and everything has been fine, besides his excessive licking. He has been licking himself so much that he keeps giving himself a bacterial infection down...
I don't know how likely that is. He had the surgery about 6 months ago, so it's all healed and everything now. I've never considered that it could be anxiety before. I'll have to talk to them about that! I just want to be done with this already.
My cat, Stewie, has been driving me crazy for about a year. He gets UTIs every 3 months. He has gotten the PU surgery and is on a special diet for these issues. Lately since the PU it's not crystals causing this but his OWN doing. The vet keeps telling me that because he keeps over licking...
Oh really! That's awesome I hope it makes a difference for my Stewie, I don't know how many more vets visits we can handle. He's real mad I have to keep putting his cone back on, not that I blame him.
I'm hoping so. I'm going to have some free time after work tomorrow and will be able to bring him back into the vet again.
Thank you for the food suggestions! I'm definitely going to try the Pro PAC, it's about the same price as the Authority.
I
I currently have him in a cone so he would stop licking. He was licking the area so much that it would turn bright red. He is not currently peeing blood, he never has, thankfully. I would love to move him to an all wet food diet but there are 3 other cats in the house, so that is almost...
He gets a can of wet food a day and he is get Authority dry food. I can't successfully put him on the prescription diet because there are 3 other cats in the house, so he would always have access to the Authority dry food as well.
Hey guys,
I'm really hoping anyone of you can give me some insight. My cat, Stewie, has constantly been having issues for the past 3 months and I'm starting to just get really frustrated. It all started with a UTI in October last year, he got a catheter and everything was fine until this July...
