Laurie, I have been reading your updates each day and couldn't be happier that Lazlo is eating like a champ!
The oncologist really sounds like a gem and truly cares about what is best for your little guy. I know we don't know each other and I am new to this forum, but I want you to know that I...
Laurie, I just read this entire post and send Lazlo, you, and Gary lots of love. You were so helpful and supportive to me a few weeks ago when my cat was sick, and I truly appreciate you, your words of wisdom, and your genuine spirit.
I am so happy to hear that Lazlo is eating SO well!
You...
Yes, he had a very loud drawn out Meoooooooooowww, but now it's just a pathetic sounding breathy "Ah Ah" sound. He was very sick a few weeks ago from an obstruction, which is now better, but he still doesn't seem like he's back to his normal self. He is very lethargic and lays around all day...
I'm glad your kitty's meow came back, even though you enjoyed the peace and quiet.
It has been 3 weeks and Little Guy still can't make any sounds. During mealtimes, he looks up at me and tries to meow but nothing... I'm just shocked that the vet has never heard of this happening before...
Update: My cat, Little Guy, is no longer able to meow. He makes an "Ah, Ah" sound when he tries to meow but cannot get any sound out. He used to be very vocal, especially at breakfast time, but now he makes a breathy Ah Ah sound. I thought that his vocal cords may have gotten strained because...
He looks older but he weighs less than 2 pounds. He is very malnourished... He does not have his K-9 teeth yet. He fits in the palm of your hand and is much smaller than my 12 week old kitten. The angle of the pictures make him look bigger than he really is.
I found a 6 wk old kitten at a Sonic restaurant in NJ and trapped him. He was so close to busy traffic and it was just a matter of time before getting hit by a car. A nice lady who was there took the kitten and said that she wanted it. Now, 2 days later, she called me and said that she can't...
Is she going to the bathroom normally or does she have diarrhea? Is she vomiting? I'm asking because if she is not pooping and vomiting, there could be an obstruction. I would go back to vet and get blood work done and then X-rays if the blood comes back normal. Something is definitely not right...
It sounds to me like your cat is in a great deal of pain and is desperately trying to let you know! PLEASE take him to a vet. Locking him in the bathroom will not solve anything, especially when he needs help and medical attention. If my cats did that to me, an alarm in my head would go off...
Carolina gave you great advice. Don't give up on your kitty just yet. You have many options left to try and many products that Carolina mentioned are targeted specifically for your issues. Please try them!
