That looks like he has an abscess.  If that is the case he is going to need antibiotics.  I would take him to the vet.

I have never seen anything like that before.  Could it be some kind of parasite that has burrowed into the skin? You may need to get a second opinion.

if he continues to have this maybe he should have the vet check his urine.  How old is he?

I am wondering if the urine is just more concentrated.  With people the first time we pee in the morning is darker and more concentrated than as the day goes on.  Maybe it is the same for cats.

I am sure someone with  more experience will also answer this, but I think she can get pregnant again shortly after giving birth.

I would think she feels better with the abscess burst.  That was a lot of pressure she had before it burst.  It had to be painful.  Maybe the vet should do a culture of the wound to see what kind of bacteria she has.

When I had a really sick cat (later found out he had a brain tumor) and wouldn't eat or drink, I was given Lactated Ringer's to give him.  I am sure someone else with more knowledge will give you more advice.  I hope your cat feels better soon.

I have had cats not wanting to eat.  I would put a little water on their food then put into the microwave for a few seconds.  That really brings out the aroma of the cat food.  Maybe try hand feeding it.  It can't hurt to try it.  As for stopping  the medicine I don't know.  I am sure someone...
