My 3 year old cat has been on prednisolone for chronic pancreatitis since September and he has very high triglycerides. Has anyone experienced this. He recently had ultrasound and vet set pancreas was prominent but he doesn't have pancreatitis any longer.

What about the strength being 10 mg.

The emergency vet put my 13 pound cat on prednisolone. The dose is .6 ml once a day. But the strength is 10 mg/ml. I am not seeing my regular vet for another week. So wanted thoughts on dose. He has enlarged lymph nodes. But tested negative for cancer based on the PARR test. He’s two years old.

I’ve seen him eat cardboard boxes. Would mild pancreatitis do this? Twice now they did see unidentified material in his stomach but there was a gas shadow blocking so only a partial view.

He’s on steroid and the anti nausea. The steroid is supposed to make him hungry. But not much luck with him eating. The vet said to redo X-ray as there wouldn’t be anything in his stomach for over 14 hours. Then if something is there he may need surgery as food shouldn’t be there.
