The Cat may also not like the type of scartcher. One of my cats will only use the carepting look one, while the other prefers the cardboard ones.  do not hold their paws to the cat scatchers, but you may try the montions.)

That depends on you. Kittens are cute, hyper and can require more time. Cats are more clam and usally trained (depending on how you get them)  Remember that a cat  is an 18 year commitment.

I think it depends on the cat. One of my cats loves the laser to death!! he knows the sound of the click and will come running to you. he also like the feather toys.  the other loves more to play with himself he has a soft ball that he loves.  For balls try differnt types some like the hard...
