thank you! The vet had never given her anything for her allergies before, but did mention they can take benadryl or zyrtec (if I remember correctly) and I do have zyrtec on hand, but that was in regards to her chronic sneezing, not the food issues.  We're just going to continue with the food...

From experience, even though it is specifically poop and kitty is not peeing (that you know of) outside of the box, don't rule it out as urinary.  That was the first thing my cat started doing before his urinary tract infection eventually went severe.  And it was random pooping, not every day...
