I've being going through a similar situation regarding keeping my cat hydrated, and it was recommended to me by The Animal Hospital of Morris Park to give my cat smartwater by oral syringe. Per Kat she recommended 3ml 3-4 times a day to keep fluids up and to replace electrolytes.
