How long ago did you take her to the vet? She might be lonely and in need of a second companion. Or, if there have been any changes to routine, her home, etc, they could be upsetting her. Has anything like that happened? Have you tried Feliway?

I couldn't say for sure either way, but my instinct would be to ring the vet with a description -- they'll probably know straight off if it's something that needs their attention.

Sounds like a food allergy to me, but it could be to anything -- one of my cats is allergic to chicken. Or, it could be something else. You need to get her diagnosed when you can afford to. How's her comfort level right now?
