Yesterday my wife and I had to go through a terrible time as we had to put down our sweet cat Edgar who was around 10 years old. We had him for only three years and I feel so, so guilty of how it all went down.
Just a bit of a background -- Edgar has FIV and has never a good patient at the vet...
Hi everyone,
We recently adopted a cat (a year ago) from the shelter and he is really great. When we got him he had a lot of issues with infections, etc. but that has been cleared up. We did find out he has FIV though. We also noticed that he always sat weird with his leg sticking out. We took...
I had some great friends come over tonight just to spend some time with my wife and I. We talked about lots of things and we all shared pics that we had on our phones of Snuggles. After they left we came back to reality, but it was great to see and share all those photos.
Thank you so much for the replies. I actually cried reading them. You are all so sweet. Thank you. This is the first whole day without him. I already walked by the area where his food bowl was and the other area where his litter used to be. It is so sad not to see those things there. Trying to...
I can't even believe I am writing this but this morning my wife and I had to put our cat Snuggles to rest. He had a ton of health issues but even yesterday was like a normal day for him.
Last night we were awoken to a cry and checked him but everything seemed OK, although he wouldn't come out...
Thanks for the replies. My cat has been on Hills, Royal Canin, Purina Pro Vet, Natural Balance and wouldn't eat those foods. I am looking for other alternatives today. The problem is he isn't really a chewer, he is more of a licker. He seems to lick the friskies pate food and gets that in, so I...
Hi everyone,
I have posted on here a few times before about my cat. The vet is now leaning towards my cat having small intestinal disease. He is losing weight and he eats like a machine. Sadly there is no weight on his stomach, you can see his hip bones stick way out. It is really sad to see...
Hey everyone. When it comes to cat food my cat is more of a licker than a chewer. Whenever I give him wet food we usually licks the juices etc. We have tried, pate, shreds, etc.
Is there a cat food which is cut so small that even licking it he can get the protein? I was even considering...
I wanted to reply to this thread as it has been quite some time since I gave an update. Sorry if this is long..
My cat is still losing weight and I am getting very scared. We opted not to do the adrenal gland surgery as an internal medicine specialist was not 100% sure that the tumor was even...
Thanks for your response. At this time we are waiting to hear back from the vet on what to do. I do not really want to put him through surgery because from what I read online there doesn't seem to be a great success rate.
Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I was wondering if anyone else has this scenario with their cat as I was looking for suggestions.
First, we were lucky enough to find the most loving cat on the planet from an animal shelter about 4 years ago. He sleeps with us every night and is...
