She might be itchy. Maybe she's allergic to something? One of my himmies developed a food allergy a couple years ago and she scratched and bit into herself too (all over the neck and lower back area) until there were little scabs everywhere. Now she's on a certain diet and isn't itchy anymore c...
Back in the start of November last year my 7.5 yr old male kitty was diagnosed with HL. It was horrible. He developed it over a long period of time (several months) without me noticing before external signs started popping up. I still feel awful about noticing it before, but that's in the past...
Have you considered using a different litter? I find that clay ones keep the nastiest odors. If there's a place near you that sells it, I suggest Swheat Scoop or any wheat based litter actually. They're biodegradable, clean, clumps extremely well, and is low on dust! Great for you, the...
My baby cougar past away sometime yesterday. My little brother and Dad found him in the car tent next to the house today. I haven't seen Frisko since last Chritmas and it pains me that I never to got see him again (I live far away from my father). It also hurts that he died alone and probably...
I know mine are asleep when they finally stop purring or they twitch or snore ^^
I think they're chasing things, like shadows and bits of string like they do when they're awake.
My dear Smokey did the same thing last year. I thought it was behavior too because we had just moved, but guess what? I brought him to the vet and he had a UTI! I was so shocked and then later I was upset with myself that I let it go for so long because I thought it was his attitude. He never...
I have long-haired cats too. Before I moved, I had a shower with a shower hose and a stool for them to stand on. Now I just have a tub with a normal spray thing, so I just sit in the tub with them o.O I know it's weird, but if I'm that much closer to them they feel a bit better.
Thanks everyone!
She's not that old though. Maybe about 6 years?
And I looked into it myself, but some of the symptoms just didn't match up with CRF at all.
So last week one of my girls, Tippy, started acting weird. Turns out it was her kidneys and so she was dehydrated, lethargic, weak, and had no appetite on top of that. Anyways, this is a new vet I'm going to (since I moved) and he is soooo awesome! I really felt his concern and care. When I...
It's the same dry food all the time for my cats. They're too sensitive to switch it up and it's the best one I've had (plus it's a special one for my boy who had a urinary problem before) . As for wet food, I don't feed that to them. They've never had it in their four years of living, so I'm...
Ugh! That's sick that people would actually try to kill other animals like that! D:
I don't even like hunting, but killing someone's pet? Disturbing xP
Anyways, none of my cats where collars. The two old grumpy boys back at my dads place never liked them from the start, and they're getting...
So today I brought Smokey back to the vet for his check-up. All is well and I couldn't be more happy<3
I also asked how the swollen lymph nodes, red inflamed gums, and UTI were connected and the said they weren't. The lymph nodes were swollen from just fighting off whatever bacteria invaded...
lol, I already bought one of those "pet dishes" x3
It's really nice and deep though, so I though it wasn't so bad for $10 CD
But I'll look at the dishes we sell at my workplace.
My employee's discount will make it easier too =P
And I hope so too!
I'll probably just call again though.
@strange_wings
Yeah, I called him yesterday, but I'm still waiting for a call back.
It could be his immune system, but like you said, we'll never know for sure..
Yeah, you're right...I'm a little new to reading the labels on pet food too >>;
I'm totally checking out the water fountain now...
