At what point do I decide to rehome these cats?

Pet hotel isn't possible as the family member doesn't have the finances to support that arrangement. Aside from offering room and board we've refused to offer help with financing due to major trust issues. But yes, it's not a permanent situation so maybe some other arrangement is necessary.

At what point do I decide to rehome these cats?

The one family member will be at the home while my wife and I are away, so there will be someone home most of the time. I also have other family coming and checking in on the house as well while we're gone. The only thing I haven't tried is petting using clean socks. My plan now is to just reset...

At what point do I decide to rehome these cats?

A member of my family recently lost their home as a result of negligence on their part. We were the only ones who could take in their cats on short notice. I have two cats of my own, and so we have been keeping the cats separated. Our cats also used to live with their cats 5 years ago. We're...

Getting Adjusted To A New Home

Thank you guys! She’s definitely coming around. We actually didn’t move with much furniture and are still in the process of moving what we do have. We were living with 40 year old hand-me-down furniture and decided to get rid of almost all of it for the move. We will be getting furniture soon...

Getting Adjusted To A New Home

Hello, My Siamese Abby just moved into our new home (prematurely) and I was wondering if there are any ways I can encourage her to explore it more. I say prematurely because we had to move her prior to our renovations being complete due to circumstances with our landlords at our apartment (they...

Adopting A Second Cat But Concerned...

Hello, I have a Siamese cat named Abby and we frequently take her to trips to see her grandpaw and his four other cats. She gets along with the other cats but is distant from me when we visit. She is always playing with one of my Dad’s cats, Miss Daisy. Miss Daisy and Abby play all day...

Super Affectionate? Or Am I Missing Something?

I mean, my sisters cat was a Lone Ranger before she moved back in with my dad. Never saw a behaviour change in her. She still only cares about my sister and nothing else But yeah I've never lived with 1 cat, 26 years and we've always had 3+

Super Affectionate? Or Am I Missing Something?

I've taken care of 8 cats at a time, and given medication to cats that needed it (my aunt has a little bit of a sanctuary.) I'm not so much concerned with the work of 2, the apartment is rather small. She just spent two weeks at my dads while we were on vacation. It's too bad too because...

Super Affectionate? Or Am I Missing Something?

I worry that perhaps I am not understanding my cat as much as I would like to. She's nearing 8 months old now, she is always super cuddly and always crying for my attention. She is next to me 24/7 when I am at the house. When I am in bed she is dancing on top of of me, crying at me, and bonking...

    Personality Change After Being Spayed

She is back to her self, just a little less energetic and a little more cuddly I find.

    Personality Change After Being Spayed

I'm worried that my baby's surgery may have affected her personality. It's been two days and she has been hiding more often than usual and isn't her affectionate loving self. She usually is waiting for us at the bedroom door every morning for breakfast and does backflips because she's excited to...

    Behavior Changes on Location?

My Siamese Princess Abigail does this weird thing where she acts like a completely different animal when she's at my dad's place visiting for a week or two than when she's at her forever home. When she's visiting my Dad and the four other cats, she isn't very affectionate and spends most of her...

    Split Personalities?

She actually prefers to play with the other cats when they're around. She is attached to our hips when we are at home though lol. Trying to figure out ways to use up all her energy

    Split Personalities?

I don't mean to say my 5 month old kitten has a split personality in the usual sense. However she does act very different when she is at home vs. visitting her grandpaw. There are four other cats at Grandpaw's and she spends a lot of the time sleeping / playing with the other cats. But when...

Cat has enjoyed peeing/pooping on floor for YEARS

I watched this cats from hell video on tv about cats who pee everywhere. It's usually their way of communicating something. The guy made the owners mark everywhere the cat was peeing and anywhere he peed three times they put a litter box there. They did other stuff too I think they got a bigger...
