    Anal Gland Problem?

Thanks everyone! Sounds like this just varies from cat to cat - our family cat growing up never had to have her glands expressed as far as I know, so it surprised me that my very young kitty might need it! Guess we're off to the vet...at the moment dropping some cash sounds more appealing than...

    Anal Gland Problem?

Hi all, I'm trying to find out how to fix the absolutely vile smell that emanates from my cat every so often. It comes from her butt and sometimes there's even a little bit of clear liquid (ew). After reading other posts it definitely sounds like it's an anal gland issue - the smell is...

Help! Scabs on my kitty's ears?

Hello! I never did get a conclusive answer on the scabs. I applied Miconazole twice a day since it was the only thing I could think to do, and I have my suspicions that it was indeed ringworm even though the test came back inconclusive. After a couple weeks the scabs fell off, the circular spot...

Awkward, derpy, and otherwise hilarious pictures of your kitties

Hehe, thank you! She was in full-on Lounge Mode that day and luckily I had my camera close by when she reclined into that ridiculous pose.

    Sleeping Kitties!

Too true - instead of moving the sleeping kitty I found myself perching on the edge of the chair until she decided she was done with that spot.

Haha, it looks like she's reenacting a dramatic movie moment here.  "Go on without me...I'll only slow you down!"

    Dirty nose!

Sounds like the perfect two-pronged approach! I think preventative nose-wiping next time is going to be the key.

    Dyed Cats

That's a fair point. I don't know anything about the dyeing process so if it involves something your cat hates, that's a good reason not to do it.

    Dyed Cats

Hm, I kind of disagree with this - I don't thank anyone dyeing their cat thinks the cat has any feelings about it one way or another. It's 100% for the owner's amusement and since it doesn't hurt the cat, I'm all right with that. I didn't mean to imply that you thought it was traumatic, just...

    Dirty nose!

I recently switched to a different type of wet food with more gravy in it, and when I got up this morning I noticed that my cat's nose had been dyed the color of the food. The fur right above her nose pad is white, so it is pretty dramatic looking. I tried washing it off with a damp warm cloth...

    Dyed Cats

Ehh...that seems like a bit of a stretch. Cats don't see color with the same vibrancy that we do so it's hard to know how the change would even register for them. I guess it's possible, but I think everyone saying how "traumatizing" it would be to dye your cat is anthropomorphizing a little bit...
