You know, our gray is still a baby. We don't know exactly how old our gray is at this time since he and his sister were dropped off at a clothes donation box, so how big he'll get is just a guess. Our tabby is a BIG guy. I'm guessing the gray will stay smaller :)
Also, I've never heard a cat chirp like he does! It's adorable. Our stripey cat meows and talks very loudly and very frequently. It's definitely different to hear either tiny mews or little chirps.

He's a wonderful cat! We didn't intend to keep him, but he has fit in so nicely. Besides, he's so soft we want to keep him just to pet him. His name is Chad :)
What about gray cats like a Chartreux or other European gray short hairs? They have a velvety, thick coat like a Russian Blue, too...
