Well oddly enough, I received an alert email from Google saying that some of my passwords were comprised and this site was one of them. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have seen your message;)
I strongly encourage you to get full labs on this cat, CBC, Blood Chemistry and T4 (thyroid) Then join the CKD...
I have been feeding a raw/cooked homemade diet for 18 years and with great success. It’s safer if you have a grinder at home for the turkey or beef or chicken. Anytime you buy meat that has already been ground, there’s a chance for salmonella.
I follow a recipe by Dr. Pitcairn and Anitra...
Geez Louise. One day he was normal, next day he is off balance. Skittles is 9 1/2, neutered. He can sit up for treats, so I know his hind legs are fine.
He does NOT scratch his ear and I looked inside, didn't see anything abnormal, but he is very skittish so I didn't do a great job of looking...
Mrsgreenjeens, that is exactly what I do. My oldest cat has a habit of throwing up in the vehicle on the way to the vet. I have started the process at least 30 minutes earlier than necessary and I leave him in there while I'm getting dressed and putting my makeup on. A lot of people just rush...
My baby girl finally had a "normal" stool. Took about 2 weeks but she also had a cold. Sneezing, runny eye. Added some white rice to her food, 1/16 tsp of pure vitamin C, 1/4 tsp L-lysine to each meal. Plus 1/16 tsp vit c in homemade chicken broth. Whew! Won't be forgetting the L-lysine ever...
I feed them coconut oil as well but I am feeding a homemade diet to begin with. As far as Fiber goes, that is usually vegetables. I use carrots and zucchini because I read that you should use one above ground vegetable and one below ground vegetable. You can again just research foods that have...
Thank you so much for responding. I think I saw a better stool today. You know I used to have horses and it was always exciting when you had enough poop in the stall to clean LOL because with horses if they don't go to the bathroom they can colic & die.
Anyway sorry for getting off-topic sort...
I'm having the same issue. I fed my cats a rich food, one threw up, 3 were ok, my favorite has diarrhea and blood in her stool. Her mood is good, Appetite good also. Switched to plain chicken and rice. It seems like your cat took a week to get normal is that about right?
So if you could get that question answered you would be wealthy beyond your means. I had a house of indoor cats only and one of them got fleas a few years ago so, go figure.
I have not had any issues using diatomaceous earth. I definitely keep the shaker as close to the carpet as possible.
Oddly enough, I just found out today about an organic flea and tick treatment that a coworker has used and was really impressed. The product is made in Oregon, looks like the...
