My old cat penny who passed away last year used to tell us when the kids were sick or crying.  She would check on everyone every night and if the kids were crying or sick she would jump on me ad meow until I got up and checked on them.  Cats just know if people need them.

We have him on three different types of wet food now. I still give him dry only at night before I go to bed. I will keep some dry around but once I know what he likes it main diet will be wet. Thanks for all your help.

He is a little mischievous! He love to play with my toes at night and jumps on the table when we eat . Only had him for a month so he is still learning the rules.
