@PushPurrCatPaws Just curious, how do you monitor/know if they do well on a certain med or dose? I gave this fella some Buprenex past week and didn't notice anything unusual- curious to know what you look for
@PushPurrCatPaws Grandmother's cat fell out of the 8th floor window! So, this is what we have to deal with it. Poor fella.
@Kieka Oh and those numbers include 2- and 8-week follow ups, if that makes it any better :/
@Kieka Ah, you are absolutely a gem! Thank you so much for your reply. Yeah, it all seems so excessive and we were taken aback with everything listed. I bet the # of x-rays is high to get more angles or something. I don't like to think people are trying to take advantage and charge things...
I attached the estimate with exact costs The surgery itself seems about right (~$2000) but boy, is this all very expensive.
Does anyone have experience with something like this? How much does all the medications, IV, x-rays cost?
Asking here because any other surgeon/office won't give an...
Past 4-5 months at least. I fed her a bit more when she was a kitten but slimmed it down as she grew. People keep mentioning her weight, but she weighs fine - possibly hasn't grown into her body yet.
Well, she always sits next to her bowl when anyone is in the kitchen -- waiting, waiting, waiting. I don't know how much of that is just being a cat wanting food, or a starving cat lol
She's a little over a year old.
We usually feed her Wellness and Trader Joe's brand. However, I think we might be starving that poor thing. The 5.5 oz can says to feed 1 can per 6-8 lbs. She's around 10-11 lbs and we feed about 3/4 of that 5.5 oz can. Everyone keeps saying that she's "fat", so...
She seems like she's always acting hungry though. Before this, we would give her about 6-7 oz a day and she would still be acting hungry.
Just gave her an additional 3oz and she's licking her plate! That's about 7 oz today.
Well, I'm starting to give her 3.8-4oz a day spaced out between 3 meals.. I was giving her as much as she would eat before, and she would almost always eat it all up -- I noticed her getting a little chunkier, so now I'm giving her about 4oz a day to regulate her weight. Not exactly sure if...
I have a 7 month kitten and I've been in the house this past month so I'm usually home with her during the day and everyone comes home at night but I'm still there. She doesn't really get a break from me (). I leave the house for a few hours but that's about it. She follows me around the whole...
I've been feeding Minnie canned Wellness (grain-free) and have been giving her some raw food snacks. She LOVES it. I think more than the canned food. Can I just continue to do this (canned + raw)? Or should I just slowly start moving away from canned and more towards raw?
I think I may keep two around. A small one in the isolated bathroom, in case she wants to use it there if she's hanging around that area. And I'll keep the one she usually uses in my room. I'm guilty of wanting her in my room so we can have and continue our feline-human bond. Is this normal?
Should I be worried that the litter box would be too out of the way? I mean, she'll have her own room and a bathroom to herself but it's far away from the living room (where she likes to spend time with us).
I currently have a makeshift litter box in the bathroom I intend to have the box in and...
