Very quiet 4 month old from shelter, is it normal?

Yes I'm soooo pleased. He is way more inquisitive now but just loves being around us. I've noticed he sits on my lap then after a while looks deeply into my eyes and starts to very gently pat my cheeks no claws just super gentle pats. After that he hops up and walks around my neck then back down...

Hello from Captain Midnight and Major Tom.

Thanks for the welcome. Major Tom came about because the shelter had called him Tommy so since we already had Captain Midnight it kind of made sense. I'm thinking we now need a Sargent and a General!

Hello from Captain Midnight and Major Tom.

Thanks! Shall get some photos up soon, Major Tom has been diagnosed with cat flu and just started antibiotics so there has been lots of intensive nursing but this morning he started eating and pooped in his tray! Very quiet 4 month old from shelter, is it normal?

Thought I'd just update that we have an appointment at 2pm this avo for the vet so will let you know what the outcome is. I have found that after wiping the dried dribbles from his nose with a damp cloth then offering him food he seems more interested so perhaps being clugged up is making it...

Very quiet 4 month old from shelter, is it normal?

Thanks Catmom5. I think he is unwell. Dont they always choose sundays to need the vet! My other cat, Captain, settled in on day one, not bothered by anything and by the end of the week he was outside for walks. Major Tom is off to the vet once they open. I am hoping we can sort this out and he...

Very quiet 4 month old from shelter, is it normal?

Hi, and thanks for your reply. Yes we are off to the vet today. He did eat some food last night which I wetted down but noticed he didn't chew. Soooo many questions for the vet! He is in the lounge/kitchen area as Captain is in the laundry and sunroom (his usual spaces) and all the other rooms...

We picked him up yesterday from the shelter and he is very friendly and affectionate. Loves cuddles and hugs...
