    My poor Willikins

Thanks Shaken. It's heartbreaking to see him looking in his fur for it. And he has no control over his urine flow, and is dribbling evil smelling Tom spong. Poor baby.

    My poor Willikins

My eight year old Tom, Willikins, has just come back to me after having a rather urgent operation for a urino-tract infection that threatened to ruin his kidney. He had a severe bacterial infection that wasn't responding to antibiotics. His urethra was very inflamed, and there was some necrosis...

It's in secret from the Animal Shelter I work part time at (And took the Cats from), not my Church.

    Do Animals go to Heaven?

My Church categorically tell me that Animals have no place in Heaven, because they were not "saved" by Lord Jesus, only Mankind were. I have a bit of a hard time accepting this. But they are good people, and I would still be a homeless drinker if it wasn't for them. So I just hope they are...

    Christian issues

My birth family are all JW's, and I no longer want to be a part of that. So there is no way they will ever accept me now. And to be honest, the Church I am with now, are far more tolerant, and less dogmatic than the Witnesses were. They still give me concerns. Occasionally. But their actions are...

    Pushy Tomcat & Patient Bully.

My Bull Terrier Granite, gets along fine with most of my cats, except for the one young Tom. He just spends all his time winding the dog up, and trying to bait him into a fight. Staring, Yowling, hissing, getting up really close to him. The Dog is almost a nervous wreck. The cat thinks he is...

    Christian issues

There's my Birth Family, but I don't see them anymore, because they are not saved. And all of the people in our fellowship seem to have no time for animals, they spend a lot of time witnessing, and running study groups. But they say I'm not square enough with Jesus yet, not until I have been...

    Christian issues

I work in a shelter, and some of the things that people do, to Cats, are appalling. We take Dogs too, but they are usually just a bit skinny, or in poor condition. But the Cats are treated with far more cruelty than Dogs are. Sometimes I think that God doesn't even like Cats. We get them shot...

    Christian issues

I'd like to believe that, I really would, but my Church are Strict Observance Baptists, and if they even knew I was asking this they would arrange a re-orientation for me. Which I don't want to put them to the trouble of arranging. But I think I will only know for sure when I am living in...

    Christian issues

Our Pastor and all our Elders, say the Lord is very clear on this, and that animals, having no souls, cannot pass into the Kingdom. They do not know sin, or thier creator, or good from evil, and they pass below. But I'm not sure I want to go to Heaven if my pets can't come. I have even made...

    Christian issues

I am a committed Christian, and I have one major issue with it as a Religion. Animals do not go to heaven, and I can't bear the thought of spending an eternity without seeing my babies. If Jesus loved us, and wanted us to be happy in the hereafter, then why can't our Kittys go to Heaven? It's...

    WHY??? (vent)

You could try putting butter on his little paws. My Grandmother used to swear by that. (But she was riddled with oldtimers, and sometimes thought my Grampy was "Jim from the War") But when I asked her about it, she thought I meant putting butter on "Jim from the war's" feet, and got quite...

    WHY??? (vent)

I don't think putting a collar on them is a particularly good idea. Collars mean they can easily be caught, by anyone. Collars make it easy for Cat thieves to snatch healthy Cats. But if they've got no collar, they can at least fight if someone grabs them.

    hunting.

Because it's cheaper, I suppose. And they would be out hunting anyway.

Advice on taming, socializing our new feral kitten/young cat

The kitten's mother might be around, and if she is feral, she may reject the kitten if she smells human on her.
