Thank God his stitches didn't actually pop! They are suppose to look like they are coming apart as his anatomy stretches. He's back home and doing good

Yes, we took him in. He's staying at least for tonight. I'm still waiting for a call to let me know what exactly they're going to do for him

    Cat COPD

You may try just ringing up another vet. I know that changing vets is expensive and a hassle. But really, they should be able to answer any questions over the phone. I don't know why yours won't.

PLEASE help; Post PU surgery stitches popping. Normal?

I have searched and searched online and can't find anything, anywhere, about a cat popping their stitches after PU surgery. My cat can't be the exception. This has to have happened to someone before

My boy just had PU surgery on Thursday, we brought him home Friday night. He was abnormally loving, he's a very independent anti social cat. He ate a LOT, went to the litter (#1 and #2). He is confined to the bedroom and we try to leave him be because he just gets too excited when we're in...

    UTI

Ritz gave some great advise. My vet also at first thought my cats FLUTD was triggered by stress and want him on an antidepressant. But they just found now that actually his urethra is too narrow which will continue to cause him problems until we get him surgery to fix it. But as your cat is...

I have never seen anything like this. And if your vet has seen this and only sent you away some antibiotic spray.... I think he may have a lawsuit on his hands if you decide to pursue justice for your poor kitty. But PLEASE PLEASE  get him care immediately! And not that same vet!

    Diego needs PU surgery...

Well if you have seen my last thread then you know that my cat was diagnosed with FLUTD and crystal blockage. He's had a pretty rough time bouncing back. Yesterday the vet expressed his bladder and said his urine stream was too small for a cat his size, meaning he has a narrow urethra and no...

Tiny cat is ALWAYS hungry - where to start?

Thank you. Yes, I know he needs it and it will be done soon. Right now we're dealing with a bunch of vet visits and bills for our special needs boy though. I've also heard that they will be lazier and fatten up when they get neutered. I don't know if this may apply for the original poster as well

Tiny cat is ALWAYS hungry - where to start?

I'm not sure about hyperthyroidism, but I also have a little guy who loves to eat. He's going to be 2 soon and very small for his age. He would eat anything and everything if he had the chance. He doesn't have worms. He is a bit hyper though, so I attribute that for him not being fat. I think he...
