    Cat COPD

You may try just ringing up another vet. I know that changing vets is expensive and a hassle. But really, they should be able to answer any questions over the phone. I don't know why yours won't.

PLEASE help; Post PU surgery stitches popping. Normal?

I have searched and searched online and can't find anything, anywhere, about a cat popping their stitches after PU surgery. My cat can't be the exception. This has to have happened to someone before

PLEASE help; Post PU surgery stitches popping. Normal?

My boy just had PU surgery on Thursday, we brought him home Friday night. He was abnormally loving, he's a very independent anti social cat. He ate a LOT, went to the litter (#1 and #2). He is confined to the bedroom and we try to leave him be because he just gets too excited when we're in...

    UTI

Ritz gave some great advise. My vet also at first thought my cats FLUTD was triggered by stress and want him on an antidepressant. But they just found now that actually his urethra is too narrow which will continue to cause him problems until we get him surgery to fix it. But as your cat is...

My outdoor cat have injury, please advice

I have never seen anything like this. And if your vet has seen this and only sent you away some antibiotic spray.... I think he may have a lawsuit on his hands if you decide to pursue justice for your poor kitty. But PLEASE PLEASE  get him care immediately! And not that same vet!

    Diego needs PU surgery...

Well if you have seen my last thread then you know that my cat was diagnosed with FLUTD and crystal blockage. He's had a pretty rough time bouncing back. Yesterday the vet expressed his bladder and said his urine stream was too small for a cat his size, meaning he has a narrow urethra and no...

Tiny cat is ALWAYS hungry - where to start?

Thank you. Yes, I know he needs it and it will be done soon. Right now we're dealing with a bunch of vet visits and bills for our special needs boy though. I've also heard that they will be lazier and fatten up when they get neutered. I don't know if this may apply for the original poster as well

Tiny cat is ALWAYS hungry - where to start?

I'm not sure about hyperthyroidism, but I also have a little guy who loves to eat. He's going to be 2 soon and very small for his age. He would eat anything and everything if he had the chance. He doesn't have worms. He is a bit hyper though, so I attribute that for him not being fat. I think he...

    Post catheter/FLUTD behavior

your info helps a lot. I forgot to ask her last time how long the symptoms would last, so obviously I read way too much into everything. His trips to the litter are still frequent, but less than before he got his catheter. And not making full size puddles. Which is so confusing that they still...

    Post catheter/FLUTD behavior

Holy smokes! For two weeks? I would've lost my mind in a panic. He isn't bleeding any more, I keep checking his penis and even dabbed it with some tissue, and no blood, only pee. But he is still excessively licking himself. And making noises when he's trying to poop. I'm almost sure that he...

    Post catheter/FLUTD behavior

Well he is no longer on any meds, it should all be out of his system by now, it's been a week since his last shot. Diego always seems great after a vet visit because they give him fluids or pain meds or whatever it is he needs that day. He will eat, drink, potty, be lovey, basically he acts...

    Post catheter/FLUTD behavior

Thank you Sue. Well, we go back for a check up today. He's still straining to poop, I still have him on miralax and some laxatone (which he will lick right from the tube). But I'm really having trouble determining if it's just constipation or if he's possibly re blocking. I did get a drinking...

    Post catheter/FLUTD behavior

They have been back and forth but now the new vet agrees that he has FLUTD and believes he did in fact have crystals that the ER dissolved. She said to keep giving him some miralax, which I did. And has been pooping since I brought him home. She believes it's a behavioral thing going on and that...
