unfortunately it is dry food so we cannot add pumpkin but when we were dealing with diarrhea before the pumpkin in the wet food did not seem to help:( i will try stopping the fortiflora and perhaps if she throws up tonight i will feed her chicken/rice tommorrow, thank you:)

Going back to work tommorrow and letting my 5 1/2 month kitten roam around the house. I have about an 8 hour work day. I have kitty proofed my house and closed all the doors except her room (with litterbox/food etc) Anything i should expect? Has anyone’s kitten retaliated after being left home...

She is quite alright in the other rooms when we are home. She is easily spooked sometimes by us making a sudden noise or opening something. I’m just afraid without the distractions or us telling her no/removing her from trouble she will become more curious and hurt herself when we aren’t home...

I have heard about doing that but all our rooms have doors so it’s not a concern. The concern is mostly about blocking off the entrance to the stairs.

She is fairly energetic but will sleep a lot and probably more when we are not around to entertain her. What did your cat proofing involve? We have blocked off areas she could get stuck in but that’s pretty much it.

It is about the size of a master bedroom. It does a have a window but its one of those basement windows that are high up she does not have access to it but it allows light in. We do have a perch but it is not taller than the height of a kitchen table. She does jump onto the counter and will sit...

we were thinking of putting babygates at the top of the stairs to the basement but i’m pretty sure she would be able to jump over them. The stairs are also very close to a railing which i’m sure she could climb over to so she could get to the next floor.
