Maggie looks beautiful and inquisitive.... it is tough to see these amazing creatures fade away from their stealthy catselves. Good wishes to you and all you are dealing with... hopefully more kitties find their way to you!
Well, I am seriously thinking of bringing a cat home from the shelter on Sunday. My roommate is Ok with it. She has a three year old female calico, and the cat I want is a three year old all black male. He is fixed, I believe my roommates cat is too. The calico is sensitive, but has relaxed...
Is your cat drinking tap water? Along with food, water supply is important. Tap water often has a lot of additives, what is not so good for humans.. could be more intense for a smaller animal?!? Look into a real-food diet, see if you like it!
I have always gotten a kick out of stories, only writ by humans of course, of the impact of... well any animal, and the problems they cause. From animals eating other animals (that humans like to see/watch), or animals eating/ruining plants, as humans like to perceive. From animals threatening...
It has been a tough thing for me to think about in terms of medicine for my cat... we tried a natural-driven vet a couple of years ago here in L.A., and I was unhappy with the lack of activity in the examination, not to mention the vibe I got from both the vet and the front desk. I encountered...
Do certain afflictions cause a cat to not absorb the water too?
For instance, not too long after I got my 11 year old cat I noticed her water intake was increasing. I thought about diabetes, and looked on the back of the Before Grain dry food I fed her, and saw potato starch as the second...
This is a good thread.. I had a cat for only four years from 11-15, and processed cat food worried me, and my intuition that things were happening in her body, it made me go to real food... it was raw meats, a little canned sardine, and other things. I found cooking meat didn't seem as good...
Thanks for checking in Sonadora, I have been visiting the shelter, and hope I can be a help to some of the cats and kittens there... I talk about the shelter outside of it, and keep suggesting to people to go get a cat... hopefully some will do it. I am doing fine, keep appreciating Lucy...
This BPA stuff was one reason I wanted to get my cat off cat food, processed food... I found Weruva, and saw bpa-free labeling, but I was pretty much over the whole processed food thing. I would occasionally bring wet Weruva home for kitty as a treat, but felt better about a real food diet...
I can relate to what you are saying, I wonder too about decisions I made... but I know I made decisions with good intentions, and I poured a lot of respect and love towards Lucy. It seems incredibly tough to watch a kitten go down, so painful... if there is anything to fate, perhaps this could...
I'm happy for all the things you all are mentioning to consider. I am still pretty new to cats, I had a dream cat that was my parents' after they died. I had that cat from 11 years old to 15... she died two months ago. We developed a really good relationship, and I really miss her, and...
I moved into this apartment just last month. The roommate's cat was most likely abused as a kitten, but found my roommate by jumping into her arms almost three years ago. Roommate brought kitty inside, and it was fine for twenty minutes, then began a year and a half battle with the roommate...
