    people posting AS their cats

I see no problem with the terms of endearment such as "mommy", I do it myself. I draw the line at playing dress-up and treating my cat like an actual kid. He isn't. He's a predator that decided I'm an okay person to go home with. We still project on our pets. I'd assume your pets have names. Do...

    Food safe containers....

Make sure you wash it really well at least once a week. Plastics normally have a horrible ability of absorbing food and moisture and is a great environment for bacteria to grow. Again, I'm not 100% sure about your special container but, plastic is porous and harbors food and oils.

    Food safe containers....

The only reference I can find for the label is a Van Ness dog/cat food plastic storage. Is this what you're using? That's a description of the Van Ness plastic storage. I'd assume this just means that it doesn't have any chemicals added like BpA. I am by no means an expert and I'm only guessing...

    My boys! *Pic heavy!!*

Great pics! Thanks for sharing. I do hope the oven's not turned on in the one pic, though. The one with Hoshi hanging from the screen reminds me of my boy when he was a kitten. I'd call him Velcro kitty because whenever I'd put my belt on, he thought it was a toy and would latch to my leg like...

Need help ASAP - peeing/pooing outside of litter box

Try putting the litter box in the spot where she's going potty. See if she'll use the box then. If she does, then it's probably a scent spot for her. If she doesn't, it could be a problem with the litter or the box.

    Ad links?

Good point, Laureen. It is always the best idea that if you like a site, visit often, to become premium if they offer such an ability. This is a free website and, I'm assuming they use the ads to help with keeping this available to us freeloaders. =) I only mentioned the AdBlock and all of that...

    Weird computer issue?

Like I said previously, unused CPU is wasted CPU. The purpose of RAM, processor, etc, is to, well, process stuff. What's the point of having 4 gig memory if you're only going to use a small fraction of it? On all of my computers, I run: Lucid Lynx (Ubuntu 10.04), Intrepid Ibex (Ubuntu 8.10)...

    Weird computer issue?

Depending on who you talk to, you will get a number of responses on what type of AV to get. From BitDefender to AVG. It all depends on how computer illiterate you are. From you saying you're OCD about your computer, I assume you take multiple precautions while online (You don't open unknown...

    Weird computer issue?

It is absolutely normal for Vista to run high on CPU. Modern OSes (Vista, 7, Linux flavors, etc) are meant to use as much CPU as it needs to complete all sorts of tasks. Unused CPU is wasted CPU. I run Win 7 and Ubuntu (Lucid Lynx) and they both, normally, run 50% or higher. This is fine as long...

    Ad links?

I use Firefox with Adblock, NoScript, and Flashblock to control what ads and content show up when I surf the net. As with Natalie_ca, I see no ads because of all this.

    New Kitty

My experience is kittens, in ideal situations, don't get weaned from mom until they're about 10-12 weeks old. I would reduce the amount of dry food you're giving him and add replacement formula. NEVER use cow's milk. You should get specifically "Kitten replacement formula" (KMR, Hartz). Vets...

    Switched food, cat lethargic.

I'm happy to report that my cat is back to his obnoxious self. I got the scratches to prove it. =) Amazing what simple little changes can do to our beloved companions. Early this morning, he lovingly glomped me then, when I went to let him out of the room, tackled my leg and ran like a scaredy...

    Cat makes huge deep meow

Do you believe God made domesticated cats? Or do you believe humans domesticated the cat?

    Switched food, cat lethargic.

Yes, thank you for the suggestion, Catsallaround. =) I'm very aware to look for jaundice. I've been checking his eyes, gums, ears for any color change. Everything, so far, is all normal. I hope it stays that way. *Fingers crossed*
