Hey,
As for the flea problem, i agree with the above, remove the collar, and get frontline drops. I've used these multiple times on my cats (and have to again now), they're just drops that you have to put on the back of their neck, on the skin. This will get rid of the fleas most effectively...
Thanks for the reply and information.
He's been able to urinate on his own in the litterbox now, so he's improving lots. I'm going to keep on watching him closely until he's all better. We're keeping close contact with the vets aswell, they've been great!
We're also giving them only wet food...
Hey and thanks :)
My cat is starting to do a lot better now, he's showing signs of healing, and wants to go play outside, but he's grounded :p
We're keeping a close eye on him and are hoping for a speedy recovery!
Hello all!
I came here originally while looking for more information for one of my cats who fell ill on christmas, and is now on the way to recovery.
I have two cats, called Primus and Aiko. Boy and girl, from the same litter. they're 3,5 years old now, and their birthday is april 1st :p

Hmm, my cat is obsessed with going upstairs. We usually don't let her up, it's a house rule. But sometimes she just slips through when we come downstairs, then she spends hours up there and seems happy with being there. When downstairs, she'll often nag to go upstairs again, the only way i can...
Update:
Called the vet this morning, they say he's temporary incontinent because his bladder is healing.
I need to keep an eye on him that he doesn't block up again.
If he stops leaking, this could either mean his bladder is healed and will soon pee again on his own, or he may have blocked...
I, too, recommend a vet visit.
It could be a number of things, allergic reaction to the fleas or flea product, stress, a non-related skin disease, a non-skin disease that has these symptoms, really anything.
Only a vet can say for sure what it is, and maybe even to a blood test to be sure...
Oh yeah, that reminds me of a cat my grandma had, he got into an accident, and because of it, his jaw was permanantly crooked, meaning he couldn't close it completely, so he drooled all the time.
What i'm saying is that, if he weren't so young, it could indeed be a mouth problem, i hadn't...
Hey,
I don't think this is a problem, one of my cats drools when she's on my lap and i'm petting her. She always does this when she's happy.
I've seen a lot of other cats do this too. Usually you get a few drops of clear water-like fluid.
If the cat is happy and otherwise not in any distress...
No, he does have pain meds, and he didn't stop peeing, he's dripping urine (slowly). I'm calling the vet in the morning, it's 9 pm now.
It looks like incontinence but not sure.
