    Signs of dementia?

MaggieMay, as I said in my original post, we had him at the vet the day before and blood work all came back negative. I had to give him another bath today as he pooped during the night right where he was. When I was drying him off, he started to groom/lick his back leg, but that was about it...

    Signs of dementia?

I think we were given the food as it can be mixed with water and she said he was a bit dehydrated. He hasn't drank water for several weeks now and has been getting liquids from the gravy in the pouch food. He's lapping up the the new food so if it keeps him drinking water, I'm all for it...

    Signs of dementia?

My 11yr old male seems to have developed dementia. He's been through a lot over the past year (overweight, diabetes, cat flu, loss of appetite, told no longer diabetic, possible arthritis). We had him at the vet yesterday and they did blood work but all came back negative. She did suggest he...

Aggressive toward other cat and at feeding time

It's not the morning and evening feedings that are the problem. I leave dry food in their dishes throughout the day and that's the problem. Even if I put Alfie's dish in another room, I would have to keep him locked in it so he couldn't get to the other dishes. The cats all have free roam of...

Aggressive toward other cat and at feeding time

We have three rescue cats; Alfie, age 5(almost 6), Noddy, age 4 1/2 and Crystal, age 1 1/2. They are house cats and never go outside (although Noddy escaped once, but that's another story!) Alfie and Noddy were gotten together nearly 4 years ago. Alfie's previous owners had adopted him from...

    Flea Collars

I didn't realise this, but my husband said their collars are treated with Frontline. Would that make any difference?

    Cats and Christmas Trees

Thank you all for your suggestions! I think I would only have to worry about Noddy. He's 1 1/2 yrs. old and he's the one who likes to climb. I have some boxes out in the conservatory and the second day we had him, he decided he was going to jump on the boxes and jump up to the ledge against...

    Flea Collars

They are both micro-chipped and neutered (they were rescue cats) so I don't have to worry about that part. I'm sorry that you lost your baby. It is heartbreaking as they become part of the family. I have a canister vacuum so I was wondering how that would work. Thank you for your suggestions.

    Cats and Christmas Trees

This will be our first Christmas with our cats and I've heard horror stories about cats and Christmas trees. Is it something I really have to worry about? Will they try to climb into it and play with the decorations and eat the wires (think Christmas Vacation!)? I would just like to hear...

    Flea Collars

Thanks, I never realised that about the gases. I did just recently see the idea about putting the flea collar in the vacuum (Kim & Aggie ~ How Clean is your House?) but she didn't chop it up, she just put it in there whole. They were both treated with Frontline prior to us getting them in May...

    Flea Collars

Both my cats currently wear flea collars and are due for new ones. They are indoor cats. They NEVER go outdoors with the exception of their vet visits and the last one for both of them was back in July. Is it really necessary for them to wear them? Thanks!

    Updated Picture

Yes, and just recently. They've been advertising him on the local radio station...I think him and his friends are going to be somewhere in the area here this weekend.

    Updated Picture

Well actually...I'm an American living in England! We adopted these two rescue cats and they already had their names. We didn't want to confuse them by changing them.
