One of my cats had crystals in her urine so I had her on a low phosphorus food. Just recently she retested negative for crystals so all good now. So really no health issues, just looking for optimal food for their age group.
Yes, I can feed both. Just really trying to find a perfectly balanced wet food for my two 13 year old cats. Good quality high protein, lots of moisture, and whatever else is needed. I was looking at the two kinds I posted because my cats like both but I'm open to other options. Please post any...
Just wanted to give an update hoping nits helpful for someone.
I did not feed my cat the Hill's food the vet recommended as she did not like it (and neither did I). She was on raw and Weruva WX low phosphorus diet as well as Tiki Puka Puka chicken. No dry food. Just brought her for retesting...
Hello,
Myt cats like both: Weruva's Paw licking' chicken and Tiki's Puka Puka luau succulent chicken. They look very similar to me. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two? Tiki is more expensive so I was going to go with Weruva but don't want to compromise the quality.
Thank you! Just wanted to add (since I don't know how to edit my post) the cats are about 13-14 years old and they are rescues. Maya is the girl in the front and Monkey is the boy in the background. They have been with me through thick and thin and they mean the world to me.

My name is Julia and my fur babies names are Maya and Monkey. We are new here and wanted to introduce ourselves to this friendly community.
Looking forward to interacting with like minded souls :catrub:

Once the crystals...
I have a picky senior as well. She used to like Wellness Core Signature Selects shredded chicken and turkey and their Complete Health chicken and turkey Gravies. And then some days she would just walk away from it and only eat raw. Right now she is temporarily (hoping) on a low phosphorus diet...
Yes, but she was eating Wellness for years and only developed crystals now, around the time I changed the litter. The doctor said the reason for crystals is unknown, it could be stress. Is it possible she was stressed out with the new litter (I usually use unscented paper crumble but they didn't...
One more question. I was under the impression that once my cat has been on the low phosphorus diet for a while and is eventually free of crystals, she can go back to eating her regular food (Welness wet). Or is she supposed to be on the low phosph. for the rest of her life, even when the...
