    Himalayan Salt Lamps and cats

I was moreso referring to like whatever negative ions or whatever it's supposed to have on humans; could that be harmful to cats?

    Himalayan Salt Lamps and cats

Does anyone know if these salt lamps are actually toxic to cats? Would they have to ingest them by licking, or could simply bring around one cause a poisoning effect?

    Weruva alternative?

I've been reading the blogs linked above and picked up several more cans today! Did get some wild calling, some GO grain free, natures variety instinct wet (and the dry too just in case they aren't eating and I need to supplement). I should start keeping a food journal. The raw foods available...

    Weruva alternative?

I'm in Ontario and have never seen Rad Cat... Could ask around I suppose.

    Weruva alternative?

Im transitioning off of veterinary wet and dry food to all-meat wet food only for my 2 cats. One has always eaten the vet fibre food because she gets constipated. Currently she hasn't pooped in a couple days since I started the wet food only diet. My other cat has had interstitial cystitis so...

Possible IBD, interstitial cystitis, and raw diet

Yeah he had inflammation of the bladder and some blood in the urine, no blockage. He drinks distilled water from a cat fountain.... Lol.

Possible IBD, interstitial cystitis, and raw diet

What about the increased protein for raw diets.... Is that bad for urinary issues?

Possible IBD, interstitial cystitis, and raw diet

I really should make the switch to raw while I'm home for the summer. I don't want to prepare it myself so it would need to be a high quality prepared raw food.... What are the first things I need to know about transitioning and doing it safely?

Possible IBD, interstitial cystitis, and raw diet

Alternatively, can anyone recommend the best food for interstitial cystitis that is also good for IBD or food sensitivity? I've read some bad hints about Acana and blood in the urine and stool on some forums, but it seems to be from a different manufacturer in the states? I'm in Canada.

Fromm and Taste of the Wild Better Quality than Acana?

I was told Acana has never had a recall?

Possible IBD, interstitial cystitis, and raw diet

My 5 year old male cat, who has a history of "food sensitivity" and potential IBD, had a case of interstitial cystitis back in February and has been on Royal canin so urinary food since... Vet quality food as we know is basically garbage, and he's been throwing up a lot lately (often with hair...

    Cat throwing up

And yes he does eat the canned SO as well as the dry SO in moderate calorie version, as he is 16 pounds and overweight.

    Cat throwing up

He had a urinalysis done last week and there was a bit of blood in it, about the same as a few months ago, but the vet said the only things we can do are keeping giving him the SO, lots of water, and the cosequin supplement for his bladder lining. He has never had actual stones present, just...

    Cat throwing up

I do have forti flora on hand and will try giving him some of that.

    Cat throwing up

The vet did a full blood work up and X-ray and couldn't find anything, save for the inflamed bronchi. He was ok for a couple of days, and now today he did eat his breakfast and then spent the entire day sleeping. Again he wouldn't come down for his dinner... I wrapped him up in a burrito blanket...
