The new kitten, and Matt's reaction...pics

Hehe I get this whenever I bring a new foster kit/cat home! I use a spare room, and upon coming out will always trip over the 3+ cats gathered outside the door. Matt looks adorably curious.

Inside of kitten's ears are filthy

Dirty ears are generally ear mites. My vet's told me that drops used for cleaning ears are pointless and if I really felt the need, just use warm water or saline. If they are infected, then a medicated drop will be prescribed. Otherwise, treat mama cat (I assume at 7 weeks old that the kitten...

    Foster kitten runny poo

I had 2 foster kittens approx 6 weeks old who had terribly runny poops. It came out liquid, explosive and laced with blood. The vet prescribed a course of antibiotics and cooked chicken, and they came good. Cooked chicken! It is the goods!

Give her two boxes. Some cats will not poop and pee in the same box.

    new cat vs old cat

Hmm. Could you put in a nice kitty for her to bond with? Maybe once she develops a relationship with another cat, she will be less stressed. Would Random be an option? Also reprimand your bully boy when he goes for your new cat (and obviously only let him see her when you're supervising). I...

Is it normal for a cat to become ignorant while pregnant?

I don't know if 'ignorant' is quite the term you're looking for. Having been pregnant myself, I say give the pregnant lady a break. Moody, temperamental, irritable - I certainly didn't want to be touched sometimes. Maybe she's very tired and just wants to rest more. I hope she recovers her...

    Adopted a mystery cat.

Apparently human sweat has a very similar smell to what nursing mothers produce around their teats, so cats are attracted to it. Look on it as exfoliation...

need some input on my cat

I believe 'flame point' is also known as red point, so his face and tail will go orange. It develops over time and can take a few years to get to its true colour. Your vet is incorrect on it being a 'rare breed' though, as since kitty isn't papered, kitty isn't technically any breed. Plus a cat...

What breed does my cat look like?

She is gorgeous! I love the blue eyes, and her colouring is so soft it reminds me of marshmallows. I'd say a torbie (dilute?) which is essentially a calico with tabby markings in some of the differently coloured patches. Stunning cat. If a breed was ever developed to produce that consistently...

    Another cat lady

Hello! I live with a greyhound, a bully x, and two ragdoll rejects. I'd originally intended to adopt a retired queen, but the breeder showed me a cat that has neurological problems and was so shy that no one else had expressed an interest in her, and offered her to me as well. I named her Adele...
