thank you for your reply have cut back on the number of feeding bowls at the colony.my daughter has been feeding the colony for a while now but she does not drive.am also trying to trap the third kitten inside the enclosure on Elks  Lodge    property. have seen on camera a raccoon roaming inside...

this maybe  a off the subject question. have problem with balanceing time for cat colony,house cleaning,part time work. spouse complaining about spending less time with him and more time at cat colony.

all the original cat colony members have finally been TNRd. have seen a six month old kitten show up recently at the feeding station. would like to set up a trail camera to observe who is coming and going during the day. do not dare leave camera there over night. if a new cat /kitten shows up...

have had three stray cats make my yard their permanent home for  a couple of years now. the indoor cats are neutered. my daughter is feeding the feral cats at the colony and outside. she might be  wearing  the other cats smell on her clothes?

there is another inside cat that is older and sometimes picks on the four year old. there is not a lot of playing  with the cats .

she will sit at the desk watching tv and ignoreing him.he lets out a loud angry meow and starts biting her on the arm/hand drawing blood. this has been happening daily for several months now.

No. have contacted        someone at the Pet Helpers animal shelter that  has had a lot more experience with  hard to  trap feral cats. hopefuly she can give me some tips on trap the adult female  this coming Monday. will keep you   posted..

the outside     tempature is over 100 degrees  heat index. is it safe to trap a cat when it is this hot? I live in Charleston , S.C.  have one female cat I   have been  trying to trap for several months now.

is it possible that the trap is no longer useable because the trap plate has been bent up twice by a raccoon?

not sure how to check sensativeity of trap plate.

have tried useing traps as feeders for a week .then set trap . had cat go in back of trap and eat bait and leave without setting off trap.does any one else have any other suggestions ? the female will not let me touch her.

have been giving the wooded area feeding station one cup per bowlo f dry food. because of the raccoons. have been giveing the bushes feedingst ation two cups dry food once daily. noticed that the bowls in the bushes were empty by 8PM AND SOME OF THE CATS WERE HANGING AROUND LI KE THEY WERE...

thanks for your input and suggestions.you how when you ask   ten different people the same question about tameing a feral cat ,you get ten different yes/no answers. I do care about each every one of the feral cats and worry when I do not see them. plan to purchase a wild    life camera . feeding...
