A cat's personality has to do with their genetics and how they're raised and socialized.
However - the funny thing is: My own orange tabby is very dog-like, super friendly and affectionate, outgoing, etc. Same with my older brother's orange tabby.
And, when I go to the shelters, it always...
Oh I know that playing in her food isn't hurting her, I just think it's funny that she's constantly playing with everything!
I'll probably keep her in the crate just for today - because there's one spot that's up high that she jumps up and down from everyday, and that's the windowsill in my...
You're right, she acts like it's nothing. But, she's NOT on pain meds (the doc says she doesn't need them), AND she's not being self-limiting. I feel so bad because I keep having to put her back in the crate cause she won't settle down!
This morning she waited until I opened the closet where...
Yes, she has a large crate that she sleeps in at night that I'll be keeping her in when she starts trying to play! I fed her just now and she zonked out on the bed.
So she got spayed yesterday - and I picked her up this morning. You guys were right, she's trying to run around and play and I'm supposed to keep her from being active for 7-10 days. That's going to be tough!
She doesn't even act like anything happened! She came strolling right out of the...

Since I don't know how to make a poll - can one of the moderators please make these into a poll for me?! Thanks

Oh sorry - I got kind of sidetracked and forgot to let you know what happened...Actually I didn't keep the appointment because I got in a scuffle with the idiot vet who was going to do the surgery - so now I'm looking for a new vet to take her to - and I haven't done the surgery yet.
I actually...
LOL - I did the EXACT same thing right when I got my permit. I claimed that I had forgotten which side of the street I was supposed to drive on - but in reality I was daydreaming about being able to go cruising with my friends that weekend and wasn't paying attention!
It's probably a miracle...
Oh, that's probably a good thing. I didn't know, cause I've never lived in an apartment. But I've heard horror stories from people who have lived in apartments and had to deal with all sorts of issues with their neighbors pets.
I also have a friend who lives in a condo and has to deal with...
I embarass myself on a daily basis . . . . so I tend to block things out very quickly.
Just yesterday me and my friend were driving to a mall I had never been to before - so I didn't know where it was.
I was driving, and she was in the passenger seat. We stopped at a red light, and she said...
Most of the litter's I've bought are "scoopable" - and I've also used kinds that are "clumpable."
Scoopable means that when your cat pees, the pee is simply absorbed into the crystals/pellets/etc - but you can still "scoop" essentially, because when you scoop - you remove the feces.
So...
Sounds to me like he's spraying. If he is spraying the same spot repeatedly, I would recommend getting the Feliway spray and putting that on the wall where he is spraying.
He is trying to get the message across to one of the cats, that this is his territory - yet apparently that cat is still...
