Thanks for that. It really is a nightmare trying to find anything anywhere near healthy here. I guess I will just have to keep looking.
All the good ones that have been mentioned on the site you can't get here
Thanks to you both
I will soon be unable to get my normal Proplan food for my cat according to the vet here in Turkey.
He has suggested Royal Canin or Genesis(harrison pet products). Can any of you nutritional wizards let me know A) are these quality foods & if so B) which one would be best.
Mine is an indoor...
No,it's a deliberate act & not an accident but we just don't know what to do to stop it. It's as if he is now programed to go there & nothing we can do will stop him.
My 3 yr old cat has suddenly started pooping on our bed. He has to go through our room to get to the litter tray which is out on the balcony. He still uses the tray but then runs in & finishes off on the bed.
The only thing that I can think of is that we changed his cat lit a few weeks ago but...
Purina proplan, Hills science, 1st choice, whiskers, Le Cat. Other than that it is local Turkish brands that quite frankly I wouldn't trust.
Hopefully soon we will be moving to a more tourist orientated area so I am hopeing they may have more choice there.
Yes, when I took the food back most of his shelves were full of that brands dog & cat food so he has obviously got a job lot from somewhere.
Price is an issue as the food is very expensive these days & I am not working but not at the expense of my cats health.
It's just a shame that living in...
Thanks again for the advice. I have taken the food back & changed it for proplan indoor cat.
It's difficult as there is very little choice in Turkey but at least I know that he has enjoyed this one before.
I think I will change my vet before I change the food again.
I'll also check some of the...
Just been given a new cat food by the vet but not sure about the quality. It's "Chicopee adult indoor cat"
Anybody out there who can confirm if this is a healthy brand or not?
Thanks
Thanks everyone. Yes it tends to be only the main brands over here ie. Pro Plan, Hills science etc. or totally obscure Turkish makes so I think I will stick with pro plan but come off the light as he just seems to eat more of that which defeats the object.
Thanks again for all your suggestions.
Checked out both of the suggested foods websites & they do sound great but once again I can't get them here (
It's probably going to have to be a fairly well known brand but which is the most healthy.
I have a 3 yr old indoor cat that we feed with Pro Plan Light (weight control)dry food. I was just wondering if anybody could suggest any alternatives as he always seems to be hungry & we are wondering if he is getting enough goodness from this brand.
I did see some adverts for "Halo" cat food...
I actually live in Turkey so the food brands are a bit limited but thanks for the ideas.
At least I now feel I can change things gradually which is good as he has just lost his brother so sudden changes would not be a good ideas as he is already unsettled.
Cheers
