    Fiv, Gingivitis, Steroids, Buprenex, Extraction

My 3 year old Lulu tested positive for FIV last week. She was probably infected due to the fact that her mom had it, which is evidently extremely rare as this disease is usually spread by blood/bite wounds and not very often simply from birth. You can read my previous post for more...

    Buprenex / Buprenorphine Tips

Hi. My 3-year-old, Lulu, is currently dealing with a lot of mouth/dental pain. Her gums are very red and inflamed, and she thus was prescribed Buprenex (buprenorphine drops) on Friday due to the inflammation on her gums/gingivits, which she developed shortly after her first teeth cleaning...

    Possible Stomatitis...worried

Hi, My Lulu is 3 and she's been having problems with her mouth. She went in for her first dental cleaning about a month ago, and all was fine for the first few weeks. About two weeks ago she stopped eating her hard food and I noticed her gums were really red and she just seemed a bit "off". I...

    Cats and apartments

I just moved into an apartment in July and my complex had OUTRAGEOUS fees, similar to yours, totally unnecessary and completely DISGUSTING, in my opinion. They have a $300 deposit, and then a $250 non-refundable "pet fee" ...(what?!)??? And a $25 a month fee for having a CAT. I totally lied and...

Grain-free wet food diet- who else?

Hi! About a month ago I switched my 2-year-old Lulu to a 100% wet, grain-free diet. Through a combination from advice from pet store employees and my own research, I've been made aware of some of the benefits of using a wet food, grain-free regimen (improved coat, energy, good for teeth and...

    Dealing with a 'teenage' kitten?!

My Lulu is just about 7 months, and we got her spayed a few weeks ago. She is very small and was the runt of her litter, if that means anything. The past month or two she’s been super ‘bratty’ , as we describe it. She doesn’t like to be held or cuddled, bites us (my boyfriend and I, we have a...

    My girl SMILES!

Thanks you two! She does pant sometimes...but only briefly when she's been running at full speed, up/down stairs, etc. Is this not normal?

    My girl SMILES!

One of the cutest things my Lulu does is 'smile' when she gets over-excited while playing. It's so funny. Whenever she gets really into chasing a toy or the teaser toy we play with, she runs around with this big 'smile' on her face and it's priceless.  Does anyone else's cat do this too??

    7 month old kitten SHEDDING!

FYI -- I just started feeding her raw a few weeks ago. Not sure if it has anything to do with it but I know that it's supposed to prevent shedding, if anything.

    Kitten suddenly shedding a TON

Hi! So, my (almost, officially on Feb. 6th) 7-month-old girl Lulu never really shed at all from the moment I brought her home at 6 weeks old. But, I have noticed the past week that she has been shedding a TON all of a sudden. She sleeps with us in our bed- usually on one of our pillows, and...
