    Odd-Eyed Cats

Does anyone have experience with the rare "odd-eyed" cats (one blue and one green eye)? I have read about them, but never encountered one. I am intrigued as they must have a very striking appearance!

    Kissing Kitty

Our Ragdolls, Charlie and Annie, will do it occassionally, but they prefer "kitty kisses": a slow, exaggerated blink of both eyes simultaneously!

    Confined Snuggler

Our female Ragdoll, Annie, likes to get under the covers and snuggle up against my legs in bed. I have never seen this behavior in one of our cats before; most of them would absolutely HATE being THIS confined! She actually wakes me up by licking my face so I can lift the covers for her to...

    Afraid of Daddy

I assume most of Brandon's friends are 20-year-old males as well. Having once been a goofy young male myself, I might suggest that before you arrived on the scene Socks and the other cats probably did NOT receive the level of kind attention that you now show them. That could be why Socks prefers...

    Feline Dreams

Our female Ragdoll, Annie, has very active and obviously vivid dreams. When she is in a deep sleep, she will often vocalize and even move her legs as if running. I can only imagine she is dreaming about chasing giant mice or running through kitty Nirvana (perhaps one and the same)! Do your cats...

    Dealing with jealous cats

It's more about dominance than jealousy; cats are ALL about dominance when dealing with each other. Duck is obviously the "Queen" and intends to keep it that way!

With All That's Going On In The World...

...We could all use a little chuckle! So..... Q: How many cats does it take to screw in a light bulb?

    Nicknames

It depends on whether they are behaving or not! Just kidding: They NEVER misbehave! We just call them by their names to avoid confusion and reinforce their identities.

New cat pees 5-6 times every 24 hours...is this a concern?

I would definitely contact the vet, but I would not panic as 5 or 6 times is not that far out of the normal range. It may just be that she is feeling a little stressed and is not quite used to her new environment yet.

You know you are a certified crazy cat person when...

You know you're a kitty lunatic when you've finally escaped a never-ending midwestern winter for a Carribean cruise, but after two days you wished you were back home with your furry friends!

Should I get a second cat?

Personally, I've found that cats seem to be better adjusted and less prone to boredom and loneliness when they have a feline companion in addition to their human friends! You just have to take it slow when introducing a new cat into a situation where there is an established feline resident.

He's eating almonds. What weird things does you cat eat?

Due to possible health concerns, we don't give our friends access to any "weird" foods. Many foods that humans enjoy can be harmful or even fatal to cats! Better to be safe than sorry.

Which coat color attracts you the most?

I have always had multiple cats and like to have a mixture of colors/patterns. It makes things more interesting than if all your friends have the same appearance! It also makes it easier for friends and relatives to identify them as individuals and interact with them when they visit!

Indoor or outdoor cats just a question

It's a cold, cruel world out there and bad things WILL happen to cats that go outside! With the right toys and other distractions, the indoor environment can be made just as interesting for cats. They should be indoors with the people who love them!
