    Best Litter for odors

All right - I used the Sweat Scoop in both litter boxes (cleaned them completely before changing over). My guys have never objected to new litter, so no problem there. We have our house on the market and we MUST have odor control a top priority! So far, the Sweat Scoop isn't cutting it! Any...

ah, MargeCat, I am so sorry for your loss. Losing your Mom is one of the most difficult and saddest things you can ever go through. Take care of yourself.

    Drooling Cat

hmmmm....I don't know if the Vet specifically checked her teeth and gums, but I can't imagine the Vet NOT taking a good look! I'll ask them the next time I check with them.

    Drooling Cat

So, is it bad if a cat starts to drool, all of a sudden? My son & DIL's cat is around 3 years old and she just started drooling. They took her to the Vet and they drew blood - red count was off (either a little high or low - not sure which) but the Vet wasn't too concerned about it. So they've...

How to keep an automatic water dispenser?

I cannot get my cats to drink from the Petsmate fountain - I think they're afraid of the flowing water. They're not big drinkers anyway (one is prone to UTI's so he needs to drink.) I'll try washing it well, replace the filter and refill with filtered water.

    Petmate water fountain ?

We leave ours on all the time. Be sure to change the filter every once in a while. Mine seem to be afraid of it!

Can't get them to eat the Urinary Health canned food!!

It's the Royal Canin S/O. I guess I can wait 'til Monday to talk to the Vet, as they're not lethargic. I'll take their dry away from them in the morning to see if I can get them to try the wet later in the day. I keep thinking that if they're hungry enough, they'll eat it! - but I'm not sure...

Can't get them to eat the Urinary Health canned food!!

For my two cats, one who had crystals last week - I'm at my wit's end! I'm afraid they'll get sick. I tried a very small amount of the wet, tried topping it with their regular dry; won't touch it. I was given a bag of Urinary Health Dry - they must be eating a little bit of that (one or both? -...

    Male cat and crystals

Thanks for all the suggestions. They have two litter boxes that I have thoroughly cleaned and refilled with Cat Attract litter. Since they'll be together tonight, maybe they'll both relax. It may be time to replace the Feliway plug-in too. I like the idea of many water dishes all over the...

    Male cat and crystals

I have a running fountain in their room, a dish of water in there and a regular water dish in the kitchen. Simba is the one who dips his paw into the water dish and licks the water off. He occasionally drinks from the water bowl. I know he peed this morning, because a corner of the carpet was...

    Male cat and crystals

How do I get my cat to drink more water? I finally squirted some water into his mouth after giving him his oral antibiotic this morning. I'm keeping the two cats seperated at night just to make sure Simba is peeing. He had a couple of very small lumps in his litter box this morning. I'm hoping...

    Male cat and crystals

We got our two 3-year-old tabbie boys from the SPCA 6 months ago. We think we know why they were turned back into the SPCA (they only take in cats that they oringally adopted out). Apparently, one has a problem with UTIs and srystals (unless this is a first time with cyrstals). So, Simba is at...

    Cat Water Fountains

We have the Petmate, and it will stop running when the pump needs to be cleaned out. (I don't even wanna know how hair gets into the pump!) You just take it apart and clean it - I think there are instructions on-line. I've seen both guys drinking from the fountain - it's the only water they're...

Cats funny way of drinking water

We have a pair of 2 1/2 year old tabbies (new to us). I've only seen one taking in any water and he's getting the water by putting his paw in the fountain and licking his paw! We have the nice Petmate Water Fountain - the water is constantly cycling through a filter and comes down a ramp. I...

    How to help my scaredy-cat

We have had our 2 cats for only 6 days now. They're 2 1/2 year old brothers we got from the SPCA. One is adjusting nicely - the other isn't. They are kept in one "kittie-fied" bedroom and I visit them for hours every day. Simba, the friendly one will play, but Tigger, the quiet (dare I say...
