I know it's scary, but I've had many feral kitties spayed/neutered and there has never been a problem.  And in that situation there isn't really even any recovery time at the vet.  They're in, they're out, you take them home.  Try not to worry, it'll be fine!

I went through that 2 years ago...my cat was completely blocked, was treated and then a month later blocked again.  I switched ALL the cats to a homemade all meat diet with LOTS of extra water.  I haven't had any health problems with any of them since.  I agree with the other poster that water...

Tootsie has long conversations with himself all day long. I can tell when something is directed to me or one of the other animals, but mostly he talks just to hear himself, I think. It's really quite amazing and entertaining. Every sound you can imagine is in his vocabulary (and rarely a meow).

I call one of my cats "chatty cathy" after the old doll (and the cat is a boy) because he NEVER shuts up! I never heard more sounds out of one cat. I think he's part mockingbird. All day long he's having a facinating conversation with himself. (I love it.)
