Hi! Starting a few months ago my cat has had this big wet spot (at least it looks wet) above his nose. It is ALWAYS there regardless of whether he has had water recently. Sometimes the edges get crusty and i have to scrape it off. I am just wondering if this is cause for concern. Thanks :)

He is most definitely not overweight, he was a little underweight when I first brought him home, but he's a very healthy size right now. I have been brushing him every other day or so (his hair is not very long yet), but I think that when I brush it gets better! I will start brushing more often...

Thank you so much for the info! I agree he's probably a blue tabby then based on that. He does have white at the base of most of his hairs, just not on his head or bottoms of his feet. Very cool how all this coat stuff works, I'm glad you took the time to respond!

Hi! My boy just turned 6 months old, and I'm trying to figure out if he is silver or blue. His main body hairs are gray with white roots, but his feet and head are black. Does the whole cat need the white roots, or just the main part of the body?
