I am no expert but this "spot" is strange indeed. It reminds me of Tuffy when she started chewing her fur in one spot that left scar tissue resembling this
area. Years passed and chewing her coat increased to the point she looked like she had a Mohawk! It was discouraging and the same diagnosis was
repeated...flea allergy and treatment with monthly applications of flea prevention. Even a veterinary dermatologist confirmed and increased dosing.
There was never an infestation, she appeared to be flea free and topical treatments did not help the gnawing at her fur. I started bathing her based on
