I posted a thread recently about this and his use of new Corelle water bowls. He likes them now and is not having any problems drinking. However, his constipation persists and I am getting worried.
This morning I found a piece of poop in his box that was about an inch in length. He's eating and drinking ok but for the life of me I can't figure out where all of it is going.
He's not acting sick. He seems to be responding to his new catnip with Silvervine. He sleeps ok. The main thing I am concerned about is that he no longer likes Laxatone. When I give him his medicine, I normally use Laxatone with 1/4 tsp of Miralax, 1/4 crushed Pepcid A/C (original strength) and it's all mixed and when he's willing, he will lick it off my finger. Lately giving him his meds is a battle and I have to wipe it on his paws.
I started to add a bit of water to this to help it work more.
I am scared that I'm going to lose him. If only I had a car or family nearby who can help me get him there but I don't. I messaged my city councilor, who seems to have many connections, and asked if he knows of a vet who does house calls. I will pay anything they ask.
One thing I thought of doing was giving him an enema but I am scared I could hurt him.
Please help me. Thank youl
