My 7 week old kitten was fine till now. Suddenly he started crying and throwing up white solids. I gave him PetLac and wet food today morning.. he drank his mother's milk too. And he ate some dry kibbles from his mother's bowl. After that he played with his sibling. He vomited two times just now. I attached the pic here. Please can someone tell me what might have happened to him and what should I do. I'm infected with omicron right now. Can they catch it?
He vomited clear liquid now. This is his third time now. He is sleeping and not drinking mother's milk. He still feels sick. I'm very scared. Please Help

Yes, unfortunately cats and dogs can get the virus. You need to keep him hydrated with unflavored Pedialyte, and call your vet for anti-nausea meds. This advice is for whatever is ailing him, but it’s possible he has Omicron.

Use a syringe to give the Pedialyte if he won’t drink it from a dish. Just a lttle every 1-2 hours. He may need sub-q fluids if he gets too dehydrated.

I agree with the above, he needs to stay hydrated. This may be a passing thing, monitor, encourage eating and drinking, give him a covered heat pad set on low to keep him warm, and you may even have to make sure the house has a couple of humidifiers, or take him into a closed bathroom after it gets steamy from a shower for 15 minutes or so. That would all help YOU too!

He is not showing any signs of respiratory infection.. no sneezing or anything. If not virus, what else this could be. He was playing actively 2 hours ago. Suddenly started crying and vomiting.

Could he have eaten something he wasn't supposed to? Has he pooped at all, he may be constipated.
I didn't watch them closely. They were playing since morning. He did pooped and it is normal. His puke looks like cottage cheese

I gave him glucose water now. Within 5 minutes he vomited again.

Yes. You can add a little salt to this glucose water, and you will have a good home made pedialyte.

You DO have access to glucose? Where do you live? In USA getting glucose for consuments is difficult... In USA they must use white caro syrup instead.
In Sweden is glucose proper very easy to get at every shop.

I'm from India. We can't find Karo syrup easily here. Glucose powder is available everywhere.

In place of Karo, you can use refined corn syrup. That's all that Karo is. I suppose if you don't have access to refined (white) corn syrup, you can use whatever is available, maybe cane syrup? It's just the energy boost from the sugars in it that's needed. I would think your glucose will work fine, too.

Poster has access to glucose sugar proper, she doesnt need no ersatz / substitute for Karo - which IS ersatz / substitute for glucose sugar... :)

How is your kitten today?
Now he has diarrhea. Actually mama cat and the two kittens are having diarrhea. Yesterday Vet prescribed metronidazole. But I read it is not safe for young kittens. He weighs only 600 grams. Mama kitten was a stray before. She was never dewormed. I guess it is all because of intestinal worms. But they are too young to be dewormed. Don't know what to do.

How old is he, and what dewormers you do have access to?

Some dewormers are quite mild, and can be used on kittens 3+ weeks.

He is 52 days old. Kiwof cat dewormer( praziquintal and pyrantel paomate), pyrantel paomate and febantel dewormer, nemocid ( pyrantel paomate).
I have asked 5-6 vets till now. Everyone is giving metronidazole or ornidazole. No one is prescribing dewormers.

If it is viral, metronidazole will not work. It will just need to run its course. Be sure he stays hydrated in the meantime, and hold the metronidazole for now. You can give it if you really need to.
