My pregnant cat drank a small amount of the blue water from the toliet. My cat should be fine (I did some research) but i didnt find anything about this happening to a pregnant cat. Im worried about the babies since their still young and in the womb will they be able to handle the toxins? Im worried sick. Please reply :(. (Were taking her to the vet tmr bc her water broke but no babies)

How is she today? She definitely needs to be seen by a vet ASAP because her water broke. She could get a uterine infection now that there's no barrier into the womb and if she's having contractions and no babies are coming she could need an emergency C-section. Please monitor her closely and get her to an emergency clinic right away if she's having contractions with no babies coming out, or if she's panting, seems to strain or runs a fever. The sooner she sees a vet the better.

The clorox is a whole different issue and I honestly wouldn't worry about it right now since you can't do anything about its effect on the kittens. Do mention it to the vet though as he may want to run some tests to make sure her kidneys were not affected by this.

A few issues:

You definitely need to contact a vet immediately about the Clorox and the water breaking.

She also MUST stay inside 100% until she has delivered, weaned her kittens, and been spayed. Many cats try to deliver outside and you will not be able to make sure anyone is safe if this is the case. Mom can also get pregnant again within a week of delivery. Moms that go outside can bring back disease and parasites to their kittens, or don't come back at all and leave orphans.

Shes good today. When her water broke she was not straining or attempting to deliver which i found odd. Shes acting normal and of course being very affectionate. And were making sure she drinks plenty of fluids. Were taking her to the vet today. Thank you so much for responding! Im thinking either shes delaying? or maybe its stuck in the birthing canal but again she didnt strain or have strong contractions. Every now and then she will have a contraction but shes not affected by it. The kittens were very active in the womb the night the water broke. Now the kittens are a lot more inactive and you can barely feel the moving around.

We did have an online convo with a vet , and she told us a few clinics to go to and she must see a vet. Which we are working on today.

Is she back inside today? If not, she may have the kittens outside.

Please speak to your mom about keeping her in until she is spayed. It is critical.

Shes still out. Whenever my mom lets her out Cheshire somehow disappears and is no where to be found but she comes back later. I will let my mom know for sure.

Did she come back inside?  She can actually have her water break 48 hours before giving birth.

I'm guessing when you see her next she will show up starving and want food, and she will have had her kittens somewhere outside. Have you been out calling her at all?

I'd be worried she's off having her babies as well. Or getting into trouble. Have you been trying to find her? Hope she comes back safely!

She came back yesterday and shes good. Her babies are still in there. She was acting like she was about to go into labour (cleaning herself down there, in the position to do so) but she wouldnt push! She wasnt straining or anything. While she was doing this I heard noises that sounded like a kitten letting out very brief mews.It was pretty faint and quiet but sounded exactly like a kitten.

She's very cute and looks very young. She has to stay inside while she's nursing. Otherwise she will go into heat, leave, and come back pregnant. Can you have her contained to your room? It is really critical that she stays in. So dangerous!
