I was checking the babies out and noticed my bigger girl has a cut on her head. You can see it near her eye. What can I do?
It's likely this happened because you have a scrapper in the mix who doesn't want to share that particular nipple, those little paws and razor sharp claws can do some damage when at war to keep his spot available.

Just leave it alone.

You could clean the cut with a tiny bit of warm water mixed with salt. I do that for my kitties when they get little injuries to keep infection clear. Just do her's very carefully since its near her eye even though its closed.

Ok thank you :) I was a bit nervous it was mamas teeth that did this. But that makes sense it would be a sibling.

When there is just a 3g gain, that's ok if it's just one day? My little runt girl didn't gain much today. But she's been doing fine every other day.

It's okay for today, but she needs to gain more tomorrow. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

How are the babies doing today? I had re-read the whole thread and I am glad these little ones came into the world without too much trouble.

They are doing wonderful! And mama is very attentive. My daughter was watching kitten videos on YouTube and Riley heard th kittens mewing so she stopped eating and ran to the laptop it was quite a sight lol.

We are keeping one and the other two will be adopted as a pair :) once they hit 10-12 weeks.

My little runt is on the left ( She has fingerless gloves markings on her front paws!). The big one in the middle is my big mouth girl who fights with her brother on the right :) not kidding she is SO loud!

Such cute little ones. I noticed that you're going to rehome a pair when they are 10 to 12 weeks. Will you see that they are fixed before they leave you? Even if you must hold on to them a little longer than that, just so that you know there won't be any surprise litters like there was with Riley.

So my babies are 10 days old and I found one in my hallway. Riley just laid with the others while her boy scooted off lol. I think it's time to change the nest. Any suggestions on what to use? Right now they are in a tote that's on its side in my hall linen closet.

Aww! There are several things.

You can use a dog crate, a large cage, a large cardboard box cut down to about 4" lip around the bottom, I even have used a great big litter box lined it with a beach sized towel and it draped over the edge and I wrapped duct tape around the outside to keep it from moving. Actually the moms I made these for loved them :)

Is it unusual for kittens to hit milestones differently? Two of them have started to open their eyes for a few days now. The other one hasn't. Her eye lids look a bit bulgy where I thought she might start but nothing. Not even a tiny bit.

Ok thanks :) just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong considering her eyes do look a bit bulgy.

Are you seeing any discharge? If so, you might want to hold a warm, damp cloth over her eyes.

Your first girl has such a unique face! Her eye shape and everything is very exotic, I can't wait to see what she grows up to look like. All such beautiful babies though.
