Hello. I'm here for some help, my feral boy prince has been in our family since he was a baby. I'm not quite sure the age but it was young enough to moisten dry kitten food.he is about a year old now. So prince is having a difficult time with my cat (princess) that I've had for 2 years. He often bites her and attacks her for no reason. Princess will back down and has been accommodating to her baby brother. I have to separate them often and I'm missing the time me and princess used to have. She seems upset, helpless and depressed. She runs away from him at any chance. This is my first feral...what do I do?

Has he been to the vet for a check up since this behavior is new?  Is he neutered?  Being neutered is essential.

How did you go about introducing them when you brought the feral into the home?  Introductions need to be done slowly.

Also is there anything that could have set him off such as him seeing other cats outside so he is redirecting his aggression on her.  Are you cats allowed outside?

If Prince has been with you since he was a baby, he has been socialized to humans. That means he's not feral. He may be going through some kitten growing pains - like a teenage boy, he has lots of energy and only Princess to direct it toward.

If he isn't neutered, do that as soon as possible. It will calm him down considerably. When he comes home, take the opportunity to reintroduce them slowly. If Prince is confined to a room by himself for a bit, that will help them learn about one another slowly. It will also give Prince's testosterone level a chance to go down some.

I agree, he is no feral. But perhaps not neutered yet?

I think his behavior is some sort of dominance behavior, and princess apparently doensnt want to be submissive, even if she doensnt care to fight for supremacy.

And or, he is trying to clumslily court her, but she isnt interested.   In both cases a neutering should help, esp for the mating tries.

Oh okay. Guess he isn't feral well he acts so wild and crazy when he is with princess. He got neutered a month ago and...if this helps. He and princess have just been reunited after 8 months due to marital reasons.

Ok, so it may be rest of hormones.  But reuniting after 8 months, is practically as meeting as new.  So unless they are friendliness embodied, a careful introduction is highly recommendable.  Otherwise, such scenes may come - he uses "active reconeissance", and also, some dominance tries in sharp version.  She is much more cautious, and wants it more piano, more slowly.  Also, she miss the old time without him.

Make sure they have each own litter, food place, water place etc, and begin with a more slow introduction.   In the end they will  get knowledge whom is whom and even, whom is alpha and whom is second leutenant.    But he gets too excited, and she doesnt wanna play with these rules as now...

They aren't allowed outside and they are both spade and neutered
