I've been feeding my boys the Instinct chicken kibble and the duck/turkey kibble on a rotating basis, and I wanted to throw something else into the mix. My pickiest guy's favorite (non-fish) canned food is the Wild Calling rabbit, so I went to look at the Instinct rabbit kibble. Peas as the fifth ingredient! In fact, peas are listed before they're even finished listing all the meat! Neither of the poultry kibbles have peas in them, which is part of why I chose them to begin with. I don't care for ingredients like that, inflating the protein content and not really benefiting my cats. I don't mind pea fiber as a binder, but I try to avoid whole peas or pea protein.
I'm also hoping to find something with no fish because the Instinct kibbles all have Menhaden Fish Meal and I try to limit their fish intake. We rotate canned/raw food for lunch and I never give them fish more often than every other day.
I'm open to a wide variety of protein sources (not beef, venison, or lamb, which have caused some or all of my cats to vomit within half an hour the only times we've tried them) but I was hoping to find a rabbit kibble if there's one available since they all seem to really like it in canned food.
