My one year old female cat has had horrible gas since we got her in December. Last week she started with really bad diarrhea that ended up all over my house because she couldn't control it. She was eating friskies wet food in the morning and purina dry cat chow in the evening. My other cat had eaten this for years and always been fine. I'm a single mother on a budget and recently lost my only source of income. I called the vet last week when she started with the diarrhea and they suggested giving her baby rice cereal and boiled chicken to help bind her up a little. This seems to have worked but I don't want to put her back on the old food. I'm looking into a high quality dry food and just skipping the wet food. Had anybody tried Nutro's grain free duck and potato? Any other recommendations? How should I transition her off the rice and chicken and onto the new food? Should I transition my other cat as well so it makes feeding easier?
