So a rescue contacted me to see if I could take some four week old kittens.
They have been vet checked, and the rescue will back me and help me out.
My question is do you think KitKat will be ok with them?
They are already eating mush. And will take bottles.
I'm not looking for her to feed them, but hoping she isn't agressive.
I know we can't be 100% sure, but just asking opinions.
I do have a spare room they can be in if I have to keep them apart.

You wanted to get involved so here is your start! It's exciting that they have contacted you! :)

I suggest that you take them and put them in your spare room for the first couple of days, then take it from there.

When will you get them? And how many?

Most likely today.
I figured on separate rooms to start. Oh I'm very excited lol
Just nervous as well. I just want everyone to get along and be healthy and happy.
It's a start. I just wanted an opinion on how she might act. Of course I'll have to wait and see.

There are 7 of them.
We are trying to figure out if some can go with another foster.
I said I could take them all but if we can split them that might be better.

There is really no telling. I just hope she doesn't start spraying more frequently!

It's one reason I suggested the separate room initially because they will not smell familiar at all and this might upset Kit Kat.

Wow - 7 kittens!

You will have your hands full, so it's good you have the spare room. I think your children will be a big help in playing with them and socializing them! :)

Kind of what I was thinking.
We will keep them in the spare room. And let her check them out slowly away from her babies.
Oh the kids will be a huge help.
They have kept the bedroom spotless, they take turns cleaning the litterbox.
Not the baby, but they are very ready to play and love them.
I've seen the bravest ones trying to get in bed with my daughters already lol ♡♡

And of course the foster kittens will get re-homed by the rescue in a few weeks, so it's not imperative that Kit Kat accept them. But it would be a nice bonus :).

I guess they went with a different foster from another rescue.
Ahh well. I'm sure others will pop up. :)

When is a good age to slowly start mushy solids?
They are starting to sprout teeth. When they see me they all now start mewing and full on run to me.

You can go ahead and try wet food mixed with KMR to make mush. I'll bet they'll go for it. They're pushing four weeks now. You can also wet kitten chow with KMR so it softens.

I can't wait to hear how this goes! You'll need to set up a kitten litter pan and put them in it, because they'll start having formed poops when they begin eating :).

They are too cute! I love this little stage!

Just keep putting it down. They'll all be interested soon. It's so exciting when they start the transition! :)

The white one who is eating is quite a little piggy.
They all tried a little.
They do all have little teeth. I'm not pushing, we will just keep trying. :)

I couldn't foster kittens. I'd never be able to give any of them away.
