They are too smart for me. I put down food tonight they sniffed and walked away so I added sons treat they sniffed and walked away!. I opened the other flavour I had of fancy feast and they ate some. I noticed the less picky one ate more later.I wouldn't worry too much about using a small amount of treats. There are calories in everything and the key is moderation. Your cats are young and so their metabolisms should be working efficiently. As you obviously have some very savvy kitties when it comes to food, if a small amount of crushed treats can help to keep them eating the wet food, then this is a reasonable solution for the short term.
I am stuck with the fancy feast though unless I can find something else under a dollar( Canadian) as my hubby won't agree to paying more. I wanted to go try vet stuff as the less picky one love the vet kitten food and was never picky with that bug hubby won't let me as its over teo dollars a can. Surprised he let me as long as he did.
So they will have to get dry food as well and I will just do my best with the wet. Feel sad about it. May be they will like the treat idea again as I have a plate of it that they wouldn't eat earlier that has treat crumbled on top.
